Just shows how far out of date they are to modern England and why the churchs are empty.best thing is to separate church and state and let the silly old clergy dwindle to the few people who still believe the rubbish they preach.

Why set the bar so high ? Is it that an organisation whose 'Head of State', ordained by God, is Queen Elizabeth II, is at heart still holding the female gender responsible for 'original sin' ?

Well it took them 500 years to allow women vicars, so it might take them some time?

 

Interesting the bishops and the clergy were overwhelmingly in favour, it was the lay members who didn't come through is sufficient proportions.
