New kit supplier?

With the sale of Umbro pending, it has been suggested that they may no longer be producing kit.

Our contract expires end of season and there was some small talk on here that Adidas have been lined up but I can find nothing more on it.

Has anybody heard any snippets on next seasons supplier?

As long as we don't go for any more home-made stuff I'm pretty unconcerned really.

Not adidas, thanks. Bland, generic cr*p. And for God's sake don't let Alpine design the new kit, that one is absolutely f*cking hideous, lack of stripes or otherwise.

Nike would be good IMO. And, just please can we not have sponsors logo that are stuck on with a cheap looking bit of plastic?

You'll be unhappy then. We've already signed a contract with Adidas for next season and beyond.

Is there any need to be so nasty ?

That Patrick template reminded me of the Space1999 asymmetric black/red shirt we had a few years back, so it aint that alien to our kit history.

I'm starting to think we may not see a return to genuine stripes just yet. Originally i thought we'd alternate between traditional red and white and other designs from one season to another, as we have done with the sash and this year's one. However, with yesterday's revelation that this year's kit has already outsold last season's total, it perhaps shows that while the stripes are popular from a fans viewpoint, they're less popular from a commercial sales point of view.

So the old reverse Ajax is a definite possibility; I just hope that a classic old kit gets replicated properly if they're going to do it at all.

It's a link to the club I've got no reason to doubt. It appears that Adidas were keen to get our business and they made the first move. I've been told it won't be announced for a while tho (maybe the Summer) - prob due to agreements that are already in place with Umbro.

Summer is good. It means we can have a two month 60 page thread pondering over what the new kit will be and why the club are dilly dallying about releasing it. Can't wait. :)

This makes me optimisitic that we are about to see a resurrection of the Patrick kit, seeing as Adidas want our business and have a template to go from (Ajax).

Its now or never, it seems....
