No, just you, Charmless. Unlike you I never abused anyone over this, I have an opinion that he is (or at least was) a decent player, which I stand by, based on having seen him play several times. I don't believe I ever said anything like he would be our best player. Muppet.

And I never said you did, so calm down dear. I was on about you ranting and raving about what a great player he is, I note with your "at least was" comment you're trying to back down from that statement in an attempt to save face after ridiculing me for having an opinion that it appears the management also agree with. Then again, "I wouldn't know a good player if he tweeted me directly" whatever that's supposed to mean...

After a few games in which he looked a good footballer he badly injured a foot needing bone restructuring. After getting near to fitness he suffered an arm/elbow injury. He has played a couple of games and needs to regain fitness but IMO he will figure in the squad in the fullness of time.

Ipswich home he was excellent, based on last year's performances he's definitely Prem squad standard.

Based on last years performances? IIRC correctly he played well against Ipswich, Derby and Barnsley, all mid table championship clubs. Absolutely no guage if he is premier league standard, otherwise Kelvin Davis most definitely is.

Having another Japanese on board won't have helped his cause either as all the publicity down there will have shifted to their Japan captain, assuming that the whole Japanese thing is a huge marketing gambit to sell shirts down under.

Do you really believe that we signed two Japanese players justy to sell shirts in Australia.

OK, you've got me.

I should have inserted IMHO he's definitely Prem squad standard, clearly it's hypothetical and until he plays a number of games in the Prem we won't know it as a FACT either way. I'm quite happy to back my judgement though, I'd like to think I'm right about calling players much more often than I'm wrong!

I'll back the coaching staff's judgement, they are the ones who see him day in, day out. They quite clearly don't think he's up to it.
