Bearsy Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 When krakens masturbate it makes a clicking noise, cos of their clawed hands. It's nice that he's pleased tho.
Thedelldays Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 I wonder if The News will claim this as some sort of victory for the city of Portsmouth One of "theirs" signs long contract at bigger premier league club???
Viking Warrior Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 all we need now is for luke shaw to do the same
Dr Octopus Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Excellent news, maybe he can afford some decent clothes now.
Dig Dig Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Wearing jeans in the managers office. Clearly has an attitude problem like Puncheon.
Legod Third Coming Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Wearing jeans in the managers office. Clearly has an attitude problem like Puncheon. Can't be the manager's office, unless he's just cleared it out? No Scotch, no sheepskin coat hanging up, no packet of Marlboro - must be a cleaning cupboard...

No Scotch, no sheepskin coat hanging up, no packet of Marlboro - must be a cleaning cupboard... Good point, clearly an early indication that Adkins is indeed just working his notice. Cleared his desk already
Pamplemousse Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 If our players can't dress properly, how can it be expected that our fans do the same FFS?? Where's Turkish to comment on this?
LGTL Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 ...and his bank balance has suddenly just got much healthier.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 If our players can't dress properly, how can it be expected that our fans do the same FFS?? Where's Turkish to comment on this? In primark.
Lazlo78 Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Great news! Definitely one to lift our team in the not too distant future
Turkish Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Good news, really good young player. Well done the 'commitee'

krissyboy31 Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Good news, really good young player. Well done the 'commitee'Are the others hiding under the desk?
david in sweden Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Wearing jeans in the managers office. Clearly has an attitude problem like Puncheon. ...looks more like the boardroom to me .......
Turkish Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Are the others hiding under the desk? Credit where it's due, we slammed the committee for th transfers in the summer so it's only right we praise them for this.
Willo Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 I like how the quote on the official site uses hypens to connect Nigel's words: "ever-so-well"
Chez Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Credit where it's due, we slammed the committee for th transfers in the summer so it's only right we praise them for this. Absolutely. Good job by the club to ensure he signed a long term contract. Not everyone slammed the committee's transfers in the summer by the way.
S-Clarke Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Quality news, will be an england player in time.
SuperSAINT Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Any 17 year old who looks at ease in the prem really is some player.
mcjwills Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 but is it a Nigel contract renewal or a Cortese contract renewal
ottery st mary Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Great player and pleased Saints have got him on a 5 year deal. As someone said earlier.....Luke Shaw ..next ..hopefully:D
Raging Bull Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 This is reassuring. It is, but it also bumps his price tag up quite a lot for any of the circling vultures.
Smirking_Saint Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Great news, reminds me of when Wilshere came on the scene. Hoefully he gets some more gametime
david in sweden Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 good signing. As future talent goes .....must be as good as the Lallana deal a while back.
davefizzy14 Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Great news, JWP is going to be a top player
corsacar saint Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 This must be seen as a major coup, well done to the club and it is fantastic that JWP sees his future at the club for at least the next 5 years.
scotty Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Very good news. JWP has looked real quality, delighted with this. And +1 to the above comments about Luke Shaw, I thought he was excellent in the qpr game and another great prospect.
westofshannonsaint Posted 20 November, 2012 Posted 20 November, 2012 Great news, and a 5 year contract. Good to see the club are continuing their policy of hanging onto our better prospects.
rooney Posted 20 November, 2012 Posted 20 November, 2012 Excellent and congratulations to the lad. Interesting that he said in the Saits Player Interview that the chairman keeps an eye on their educational side of the Academy off the field. That is good.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 20 November, 2012 Posted 20 November, 2012 Why isn't Lambert in that pic celebrating he must be off in Jan. FFS, Lowe out.
a1ex2001 Posted 20 November, 2012 Posted 20 November, 2012 Great news he's done really well this season and deserves to be rewarded, also as has been said it pushes his transfer value up which eventhough I don't want him sold is a much better situation to be in than Arsenal keep managing with their top players. Really keen to see the club tie Shaw to a new deal as well and I guess now he's playing regularly in the first team both parties will be keen to sort out his future. I fully expect them both to move on in the future as that is the nature of football but hopefully we will see more of them in a saints shirt than we managed with Walcott, Bale and Oxo.
Ashley Grute Posted 20 November, 2012 Posted 20 November, 2012 Going to get slated for this but he looks fairly average to me- I know he plays a different position but he is nowhere near the same quality as Bale or Oxlade- Chamberlain were at the same age.
Window Cleaner Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 Going to get slated for this but he looks fairly average to me- I know he plays a different position but he is nowhere near the same quality as Bale or Oxlade- Chamberlain were at the same age. not so easy playing in midfield. If you're an attacker and you f*ck up it isn't the end of the world, lose the ball in midfield and it's far more serious. Midfield in top flight teams is a hard place to play. You don't get too many credits for what you do well and you get a lot of stick for stuff that you do less well. Look at the idiots who are always criticising our midfield on this very forum; Lambert and Lallana have an off game..meh, Morgan,Cork or Davis..we need new players.
SuperSAINT Posted 21 November, 2012 Posted 21 November, 2012 going to get slated for this but he looks fairly average to me lol!
