westmidlandsaint Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 No doubt he's got the potential but it will be hard for him to ever break through without playing for one of the big boys and he'd have to oust Glenn Johnson & Kyle Walker too
dubai_phil Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 Out of this lot Lambert will beat him into the England team... No really. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2234369/Roy-Hodgson-pick-Grant-Holt-Rickie-Lambert.html Interesting that some journos also mentioned that Jack Cork's return to Saints action "would be good news for England as well" (But I didn't keep that link)
chocco boxo Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 Palace fans I spoke to last year (at away match) said he was probably the best player they had seen there for years! I just hope he stays here for a while and gets the recognition from England he deserves!
Thedelldays Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 he has to get past glenn johnson kyle walker micah richards carl jenkinson
Window Cleaner Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 he has to get past glenn johnson kyle walker micah richards carl jenkinson Isn't Kelly supposed to be in the mix as well when he's not injured ? Just right now I'd say Clyne is about 7th or 8th in the pecking order if they're all fit. Mind you you never know with Woy. Called up Lallana and then nothing despite a cascade of withdrawals for the last couple of matches.
Benali Saint Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 I always wondered if he would be like Bale and become a winger.

Golden Balls Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 He needs to get some better studs first. That said, yesterday was the first time I saw him go a full 90 minutes without slipping once.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 He's going to have his work cut out next week against Ben Arfa.
Window Cleaner Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 He's going to have his work cut out next week against Ben Arfa. come to think of it we don't have a Newcastle Build Up thread yet. Things must be looking up.
Junior Mullet Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 Agree? Not the 'next' one but I've aid all season he'll play for England. I've no doubt about it. He will play regardless of the fact he doesnt play for a top team.

krissyboy31 Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 he has to get past glenn johnson kyle walker micah richards carl jenkinson Don't think he has to get past Richards. Not that I don't think he's a good player, just that Roy and the present England management don't seem to fancy him for some reason.

krissyboy31 Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 Didn't he slip in the lead up to puncheons goal?? Great recovery though!
