Coming back after injury..

V Swansea and now QPR

after long journey and 40 odd minutes in International game..

When fully fit in our much improving team..

Top class.:)

But NA made a good call with sub at that time..

Well done NA for throwing in Shaw these last two games..building up match fitness and will get better and stronger..Talented lad..:)

Well done NA for sticking with Puncheon:)....with Clyne and his inter play from Clyne through to Cork and Morgan and up to Lallana and Lambert and of course with Gaston..

Well done Punch..

Well done the travelling support...World Class...Like the mighty Saints:rolleyes:

Gaston burnt himself out with some amazing ON THE BREAK turn of pace about 3 mins before he was subbed, looked SHATTERED after that from the international game and the coming back to fitness. Davis did his role very very well thankfully :)

The match day thread went into meltdown when Davis came on! The same when Fox came on for Shaw, just shows how prior experiences this year have tainted our opinion on substitutes!

Haha! Yeah the guys around me were screaming for blood on the Fox substitution (despite the fact Fox was alright and Shaw isn't match fit) and no one seemed impressed with the Davis substitution at the time it was made. Seems playing him in his less favoured role (in the deep lying role) has ruined everyone opinions of a player that is a bit of a beast. Thinking back to City away he got the going forward from midfield role and scored on his debut because he is really good in that sort of position. He caused QPR all sorts of problems today and arguably was more effective than Gaston.

For back on topic I do like Gaston, always impresses me on the ball, just was really a bit tired today when things got on a bit.

Definitely took a knock early in the second half after a tackle. Stayed down for a few seconds, got up gingerly, hobbled about a bit and seemed to try and get on with it. I think Adkins was being cautious while at the same time made a good tactical decision.

Loved his reaction, sat behind Nige, when our third goal went in!

Me too. Good to see the players care. Mayuka went mental on goal 1 too.

Complete contrast to the injured/unselected players who sit up in the box directly behind me at home games. Apart from one occasion I have never seen any of them cheer or even raise a smile when we score as if they couldn't give a sh*t unless they are playing.

The one player who did was Lallana when Guly scored a late winner VS Bristol Rovers in L1 promotion season. Lallana was out injured and went mental, and joined in with the Guly song whilst stood up on the railings.
