The Kraken Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Personal choice I reckon. I never got on with moulds on 3G pitches and wear astros instead.
Smirking_Saint Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 After 2 cruciate injuries Ill never wear blades again especially the plastic variety
S4INT Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Moulded studs. If we win today I want this exact question on The Saints board every week until the end of the season posted pre-game
Yate Saint Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Moulds are the way to go, even though I have an old pair of Astro's. I played on a 4G pitch recently and managed to get away with Astro's even though I wasn't allowed. 4G was pretty good. Hurts when you fall on it though still....
kpturner Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 WTF has this got to do with Saints?? Mods having a doze again I suppose.
Saints boy in Leeds Posted 17 November, 2012 Author Posted 17 November, 2012 Moulds. Get a pair of copa's. Ordered em today mate !

anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Moulds. Get a pair of copa's. This, although they will degrade more quickly than on grass because of the extra friction (ooh err). Give them a good dubbing every now and then.
Viking Warrior Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 What the hell is a 3g pitch . is it like a waterbased hockey pitch?
Saint Garrett Posted 18 November, 2012 Posted 18 November, 2012 3G pitch are the artificial pitches with little rubber pellets on. Seem to fill my shoes whenever I play on those pitches!!
Viking Warrior Posted 19 November, 2012 Posted 19 November, 2012 Thanks Garret, now I know what they are. we have a couple up here, no good for hockey though and the school cleaners and unions are moaning as it takes ages to clean the floors from the black scuffs marksfrom these pellats
