Spudders Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Likewise (that really is lazy, they haven't even written one!)
Dig Dig Posted 17 November, 2012 Author Posted 17 November, 2012 I'll try again... http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/nov/16/rickie-lambert-southampton-qpr?mobile-redirect=false

Spudders Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 For me the most worrying thing about that article is this comment from Rickie……… "It's been a surprise just how ruthless this division is and how much we get punished every time we make a mistake," Lambert concedes. "It's the touch, the pace, it's how calm they are on the ball when you're trying to put them under pressure. It's a lot of things” Should this really come as a surprise? It’s something we all knew was the case, why weren’t the squad aware?.
Jonnyboy Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 It's one thing to be aware but to experience it for the first time aged 30 must be a shock.
FarehamRed Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Quote: "I don't want to play in any other league, even the Championship, so I'll be doing everything I can to make sure I'm in this league next season." The cynical might call that a "come and get me" plea. :-(
krissyboy31 Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 I think the perception of people looking from outside the Prem is that players have more time on the ball, this of course is rubbish and comes from players with better touch/control, skill, speed of foot and speed of mind. Bring the ball down within a yard of your standing foot and you'll probably get away with it in the Championship, whereas more than 10 or so inches in the Prem and the ball's whipped away from you and the other team are counter attacking.
