Stanley Saint Posted 21 November, 2008 Share Posted 21 November, 2008 The phrase 'rapidbargain will turn your lost bids into auction credits' seems a little worrying...

Al de Man Posted 21 November, 2008 Share Posted 21 November, 2008 When a bid is placed the end of the auction is extended by 10 seconds so it's not as if you can come in at the very last second in the hope of sniping it. Each bid costs you 40p and increases the price by 5p, so multiply the final price by eight and that's what it's cost all the bidders to take part in the auction. eg PS3 "sold" for £52.90. So the actual money made through the cost of the bids alone is £423.20, then add the final price of £52.90 and they've made close to £500 for something you can buy for £300. Those auction credits are only valid against the price of a successfully won item and expire after 30 days so you have to keep on bidding and trying to win in order to make use of them.
