Bet zaha wins the war and becomes a player GULY could only ever hope to be

 

We beat Palace twice last season and the fact that Zaha is still even thinking about shows Guly got to him.

 

1-0 to Guly

 

That's where it will end as they will probably never face each other again.

2-0 Guly, really, as he scored both goals that gave us victory against Zaha's side.

 

As you say; the fact that Zaha still stalks about it shows that it got to him, and probably still does. Throw in all Zaha's other comments and he seems a little bit of a delicate flower when it comes to a war of words; probably best for his sake that he does as he suggests he has learnt to do now - put his head down, try to ignore and don't bite back.

Zaha was probably referring to the League Cup 2-0 defeat at Selhurst last season when he was taking the **** against our players. I think I remember at least one of our players getting upset with him, so it probably was Guly.

 

At least we got six points from them from the other fixtures. I don't recall Zaha being too good for us in them. (Great prospect for the future though).

Think that must be it. I listened to it and the taters seemed to be calling it that way. I think Guly might have bought himself a yellow by going through Zaha. IIRC I think it happened at a similar time to a West Ham player earning himself a red at Reading.

 

I'm no fan of players being overly physical but do think that if a player wants to take the **** or dish something out then they can't really complain if they succeed in getting a reaction.

 

The Holloway comment is a classic though - makes Zaha sound like he's got a real complex.

Thing is, Guly has a far better CV than Zaha and has achieved two promotions in his recent years, being a vital member of the team in both (don't say otherwise, if you do I won't even acknowledge it - only sheer hatred can blind someone so much as to not think the same).

 

Indicative of the youth of today, not respecting their elders.

not really..in trivial situations like this..I always wonder what my reaction would be if we had a young hotshot and some no mark journeyman from another team grabbed him and said "respect me"....I would think that journeyman is an utter plank..

 

why should that change for something trivial..?

 

 

could you imagine if last season, Gary taylor-fletcher had grabbed say, JWP and said "RESPECT ME"....you would likely think the older fella was a knob....

Players whose reputation grow in the big lights for not actually being there. Of course we all know how it ends for those players (a la Robinho, Drenthe...)

 

True stars of CCTV (Guly prefers speed cameras though I'm sure).

Don't be so cruel towards Jamie, he's single-handedly protecting this nation from destruction. Think Iron Man, but set in Plymouth.

 

He's got alot on his plate (literally) at the moment. It's a tough slog getting up everyday, mixing up the powdered eggs, making toast on mass and ensuring the porridge is of a good consistency.

I'm sure none of the servicemen even bother to say thanks.

 

I'm sure most would be a little grouchy in that situation.

Danny Fox had his best game for us against Zaha in the league win at Selhurst last season. He had him so deep in his pocket that Zaha spent most most of the game moaning like a little schoolgirl expecting a visit from Jimmy Savile.

 

Thats what I seem to remember Zaha whining like a little girl becuase the nasty saints players wouldn't let him keep the ball. In fairness in the cup I'm sure he came on when saints were already losing and with only a few miniutes to go and dicked Harding and Guly like once. That was the totally sum of Zaha's greatness in three games against saints so I don't really see him as some sort of PL super star in the making.

 

I think he won the young championship player of the season last season. I remember watching Lambert's interview for his player of the season award and then Zaha's interview was after Rickies Zaha came across as a penis then.

Guly's many detractors on this board would say it's not unusual for him to be beaten on the pitch. Does he say "Respect me" to everyone who does it or just to Zaha?

I have never ever boo'd a player. Was dismayed listening to those around me boo crouch and then fuller

 

But never ever boo'd or heckled a player

 

But will say what I think on here. Which is fair game IMO as what we put on here will have zero, none, no impact on a result this weekend

I agree dell days but I hate players being singled out by the same posters even if they played well..I.be yet to see the same level of hate against hoosevelt who's scored lots of own goals and Davies or our young goalie who's fault led to swanseas goal. I suppose puncheons back in favour so gulys the new hate figure for these same people.
