Wes Morgan is actually a really good defender, certainly at championship. Will perhaps be a bit sluggish in the PL and a bit too old? Could do alot worse if it is him we're linked with.

there's no evidence that it is Wes Morgan, I just picked him out from the surprise and typical championship (or whatever it was)

comments. Bloke has played about 400 championship games for just a couple of clubs. Forest and Leicester, maybe one other.

Roger Johnson was linked in the summer so maybe a re-hash of that?

Nixon says it is a "new name", so not a re-hash.

Everyone's favourite Journalist Alan Nixon says the Sunday People should have a story on a Saints defensive target.

His comments:

"New name, bit of a suprise"

"Bit of a risk. But very honest player"

"You're always better judging players AFTER they move"

"A very whole-hearted Championship player"

I'm still not sure why we bought Mayuka - we needed wingers not another striker - and a,though he has pace he didn't look like much of either yesterday.

I think we are going to need to do a bit of wheeling and dealing in January so yes I do hope he has a good ACON so we can sell him at a profit - either in January or the Summer as I don't think we are going to see much more out of him at St Mary's.

He was the major reason the team looked flat yesterday - they were creating chances and making the play to start off with but every single one broke down when he failed to get the ball or mis-controlled it.

Sometimes football does come down to having your one chance and taking it - and yesterday he really didn't take it.
