QPR are insane and desrve to be relegated for the sheer mismanagement of the whole situation.

Redknapp comes out of it all looking like an absolute wally.

QPR fans should take a look at where Portsmouth are....

If QPR go down Redknapp walks away and says "I did my best - was impossible" if they stay up he will be "a legend" and best manager EVER

Everyone will ignore the fact that he spent millions (again) either way

He doesn't want to spend millions, he doesn't want to sign players, he said so last night. He has been forced into this situation as he is down to the bare bones FFS! He had to name to goalies on the bench last night, everyone knows QPR have a small squad and no youth players. It's not his fault, give Harry a break.

There you go flyer - saved you the trouble of writing it yourself.

That squad should be nowhere near a relegation battle.

QPR have met Anzhi Makhachkala's release clause for defender Christopher Samba, the Press Association understands.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp said yesterday that he did not think that the move was "a goer" as he did not see the 28-year-old leaving Russia.

BBC Sport's Ben Smith reports: "West Ham are closing in on a deal for Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson.

"The 33-year-old former England international has fallen out of favour at Ewood Park in recent months and been told he can move on. "

Samba is on close to 100k a week at Anzhi, so QPR will have to match that. He is not worth anywhere near that.

Same, never used to have a problem with them, but the way they go about their business is just awful. No long term planning, just buying old players with big reputations that they can't afford. Hopefully they'll realise its not a way of doing business.

Surely they have a contingency plan if they go down?! I know it's doable for them to stay up, but the odds are heavily weighed against them. Be good to see all those overpaid tossers and that ****** of a manager on final day at Anfield crying.

Just now on talksport they were purring over redknapp saying how wonderful he is and how his management skills are giving QPR a fighting chance. And how the chairman is backing him....

I think he is a good manager, don't get me wrong. But how does he constantly avoid any stick what so ever for his actions. They were even saying what a smart move it was to have two keepers on the bench...

Just beggars belief

You said it "shouldn't be near a relegation battle". I asked "Why? It really isn't anything special" because I think it should be near a relegation battle because it isn't that great.

A squad doesn't need to be great to be mid-table.

I swear TalkSport must make a lot of their income through people phoning in, so they say stupid arguable stuff, then people call in and argue with their ridiculous comments.

That is true. But it's not just them. When was the last time redknapp was criticised by anyone writing or talking about the game?

Imagine of AvB had put two keepers on the bench. He would get slaughtered beyond belief in the media

Can't see what difference putting 2 keepers on the bench makes myself. 7 subs you can only use 3 so 4 are there to make up the numbers anyway.

Most Managers if they were that short would put a Development squad player on the bench to give them some experience. Redknapp doesn't care about that, he does it to make a point that his squad is short.

He is a moron.

Still just a publicity stunt to do it. Gets everyone feeling sorry for him and the chairman to get his money out. Which it looks like they are doing. However I'd be a worried QPR fan with their wage bill.

The Porto defender Rolando looks like going to Napoli so QPR are asking him to name his wage and they will pay it....madness

Because you might as well make use of having a different outfield option on the bench. 7 subs allows you to cover for 6 outfield areas and 1 keeper. Yes you can only use 3 of the 7, but is useful for exampe to have a specialist centre back and fullbacks on the bench. To have 2 keepers in the 7 subs reduces your outfield options so for example you might be forced to play a centre back at full back.

I don't think they have any CB replacements actually, perhaps either Green or Murphy can do a job at CB, without knowing the real situation you just can't say.

I had a tour of the Amex recently and quide said that before the BHA vs THFC pre season friendly Redknapp went into the press room before the match and had a drink with the journos and stayed with them for about 1/2 hour - cant imagine too many other managers doing that - which is why they probably love him

Then why not use a centre back from the under 21's or under 18's rather than having 2 keepers on the bench?

perhaps one of them is better at CB than anything they have in reserve, I don't know and neither do you I suspect. Harry's the manager he plays who he sees fit. They got a good result so who are we to criticise his schemas and selections. If they'd have got the penalty that Dowd chickened out of they'd probably have won.

QPR fans will tell you (as they have told me) that they are nothing like Portsmouth, all their 'debts' are in house and they have the Mittals (who as far as I can tell have never invested anything into the club pas their initial stake) and that they aren't just bankrolled by Fernandes but actually owned by the Tune Group (which is essentially Fernandes and his malaysian mates version of Virgin in Malaysia) and the profits/losses are shared between the companies.

Also Remy is not on £80k a week and they don't have that many high earners. (Even though Onuaha who is nowhere near the first team at the moment is on £60k a week). I'm sure they will have an elaborate excuse about how they aren;t paying Samba over £100k a week (as he will need more than that to get the same NET wages as he is on at Anzhi).

I hope they go down as well.
