Our website is an absolute joke.

Thought it was supposed to be OUR original design, check out Barnsley!!! THE F------ same!!!!!!!!!

Absolute rubbish.

I would like this sorted in the next week, loads of web designers Southampton would do a magnificent job.

This could be sorted in days.

The programme sellers are sacked within days, who is responsible for OUR FOOTBALL CLUB website?

On what is that statement based?

Saints have been tied to a long term contract (that predates the Liebherr/Cortese takeover) for the website that numerous other club's use. I'd imagine Cortese would want to create the club's own unique site if he could, but the club can't until the contract ends.

Because we are trying to emmulate their p!ss poor season in The Prem. We narrowly failed to let in more goals than the in the 1st 10 games but copying their OS shows real intent and matching them all the way.

Edit - just checked and they had only let in 15 after 10, did I imagine this stat appearing somewhere?

Even Derby County's shambolic relegation season with the fewest points ever, by 11 games they had only let in 24 and even had a point more than we have now .... OMG.

I'm sure they/we/I could, but let me be the first to say you're off your nut if you think it 'could be sorted in days'. To even suggest so suggests a fundamental lack of understanding with regard to contract law and project management. The details over why we're stuck with Football League Interactive has been covered multiple times on here.

Basically we're tied into a contract with Football League Interactive, for whom SapientNitro are official development partners. Perform Group provide SaintsPlayer content. The press release describing the deal is available here:

No idea why you picked Barnsley, its the same as dozens of other clubs, including some PL teams (mainly but not completely recently promoted ones). The only difference is really the colour scheme. You are right its ****, but **** happens.

I'm sure that if you sat 10 programmers down and asked them to set-up a website - they'd all be quite different. This one seems very popular with clubs. The really important thing is that a site is user-friendly.

Not everyone in the world is a computer nerd, and I find the OS fairly easy to navigate, and my generation began writing with quill pens .....(well almost)

I recall Cortese saying in one of the fan's dinners that we would exit the contract when we came out of the football league i.e. got promotion to the Prem?

Obviously I can't quote verbatim as I wasn't there, but I recall the comment was more along the lines of "we're tied into a long-term contract that would be expensive to get out of, but if we get promoted we may look into doing so". I guess it all depends on just how expensive it would be...

Fair enough, there are probably more important things to spend money on such as a new CB.

This being the case and the fact that we have dropped the traditional black shorts from our kit, maybe we could drop the horrendous black background on the site !

Sh#t as the whole layout is, it would actually be a lot better (and easier to read!) if it were a white base !

(Ps. Not having a go at you Vectis, it's just that you pointed out that colour schemes are changeable!)
