Saints V QPR Build Up

Agreed. Alpines negativity is so annoying. Am not sure if he ever goes to games. I suspect he just enjoys to criticise from afar. From the number of posts I doubt he ever leaves the house.....

if you don't go to the game a defeat can actually be more painful than if you were there. If you are at the game you can at least find solace in the performance. Alpine doesn't have that hence it hurts even more.

I may find that out today as despite having a ticket I'm stuck in bed with the flu. Grrrrr. Saints had better cheer me up.

In Sri Lanka so not sure I can listen to this on a remote hotels WiFi. However I will be following the threads so keep em upto date! Come on saints. A gud win here could safe our season... A bad defeat could easily be bye bye Nigel! It's got a lot riding on it!

Need some pace in the squad today so i'd go with

--------------Gazza

Clyne--- Fonte--- Yoshida----- Shaw

----------Cork----Morgan--------

-------------Ramirez

----Mayuka ------------Punch

--------------Lambo

Sorry Adam but it's for the best, we need pace from at least 2 players against QPR as their defence is slow, id have lallana come on in the 2nd half for punch or mayuka though if we're ahead.

Puncheon isnt even quicker than Lallana. At least not by much anyway

Got a good feeling about today. Just need to hold our nerve for the first 15 mins as they will no doubt come racing out of the blocks

A sound defeat would be utterly terrible

been a while since I've seen you post something this positive. Hope that is reflected in the result. COYR

I am predicting us to spank them and I don't know why but I think today finally everything including the defence will click.

Probability would say it is more likely for us to win well(something we haven't done since Cov) than Lose/Draw and concede via Own Goals, Goal Keeping errors as we have been doing that all season and we are due the statistical anomaly.

I think the mentality of our players (positive, looking forward to the opportunity) v theirs (highly paid, had it easy in their previous clubs, don't like to do the dirty stuff on a crap ground) means we sieze the day.

3-0, Gaston starts hitting goals rather than near misses and AL stays on his feet a bit more today.

Very positive, but I think we ALL need to be today until the final whistle. It feels like the last chance saloon!

Come on everyone COYR!!!

Will soon see if I am mad lol

now is the time to think positively. Plenty of time for recriminations afterwards. Huge game. I guess in a strange way its great that we have a huge game on our hands. Going to be tough. They looked OK in the last game. Big performance from all across the park needed.

I think today is our day, I hope Adkins plays like he did last week though, being not so all out attack wise and playing a little more conservative.

Both teams are out of confidence but with players such as Granero, Taraabt and Cisse. Diakite is very much in the mulumbu mould so could have a field day today.

I reckon it'll be a cracker

No player has the right to a place given our results, but what will work is another matter. Ramirez is going to be tired after the midweek which is a disappointment. I concede that either Puncheon, Lallana or Davis can come into that midfield and possibly do a job. I would never start Ricky upfront on is own, seen that come apart and isolated too many times. Let Mayuka do that job and drop Ricky back into midfield, which we can afford with Davis in the midfield. The trouble with using Ricky in midfield or on his own up front because if it does not nor out it means an early change and no Ricky to come on at a later point when he could do something. I would prefer to see this but who knows what will work.

-------------Ramirez

----Davis------------Lallana

--------------Mayuka

If we are in there in the last 15 minutes without giving the game away then I'll take that with the option of subs to go either way. From the little I have seen Mayuka I firmly believe he can do a job for us but the coaching side don't appear to have that opinion. He played alone upfront against Leeds but had no help what ever, so nothing add or detracted from the options.

Right omens for todays game...

Completed Yorkshire Post "Competiton" HARD Suduko

Cooked a curry in the last 24-hours

The vintage '76 red (well orange) and white scarf was aired for the first time this season

Nothing can go wrong...can it?

Expecting nuns on here this afternoon at sometime, perhaps some voo-doo chant from Spain, but most of all the doom-mongeres to start once we go behind (if we do!)!

Come on lads - play as though your lives depended on it. No silly mistakes, no wasteful misses in front of goal - and 3-points...

Rickie should be given the same role as Rooney where he drops a bit deeper, the last few games I have seen him he likes to drift out wide, what is the point in that if you have nobody in the box?? this is why I would like to see Mayuka as the ST with Gaston and RL behind him.

If not then RL has to stay up front and in the box and no drifting out wide

Cork Morgan Davis/JWP/AL

Lambert Ramirez

Mayuka

Saints team: Gazzaniga, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Shaw, Puncheon, Schneiderlin, Cork, Lallana ©, Ramírez, Lambert.

:]

Big day for Shaw - I hope this is because he's been noodling Fox in training all week. Schneiderlin and Cork, Ramirez and Lambert are nice combos
