Saint Charlie Posted 15 November, 2012 Posted 15 November, 2012 Well let's hope that someone on our coaching staff can talk Maya out of aimlessly dangling his leg at shots that are going nowhere. Think he did it again in yesterday's Oman-Japan game, pretty harmless looking free kick from outside the box. Lets bring Jos ba...oh.
Chez Posted 15 November, 2012 Posted 15 November, 2012 I think we will lose their pace and movement in the wide areas and how we allow our fullbacks to get murdered will be our downfall Hoillet looked pretty sharp the other day so that worries me too. I notice several 4-2-3-1 formations above. It needs to be a 4-4-1-1 like it was last week to protect these fullbacks.

WGC Saint Posted 15 November, 2012 Posted 15 November, 2012 Managed to get hold of two QPR season tickets for Saturday from a friend who's sons can't make it. Can't wait. Be hard to keep quiet though..... I think the pressure is all on them and they'll blow it and we'll walk away with all three points. 2-1 Saints............ bye bye Hughes.
Roger Posted 15 November, 2012 Posted 15 November, 2012 Obv rickie is starting sat as hes doing all the press interviews. They always only put people on there that are starting. It would seem the chest infection is better now and things between him and nigel are better now, just needs a goal.

skintsaint Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 must not lose imo... Ever thought about getting into management, or even coaching at some level?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Ever thought about getting into management, or even coaching at some level? Careful skint, this is obviously Dave Merrington on his granddaughter's laptop mabboby having a go on t'nternet web. Next we will be told how the next goal is vital, until one team has a 4 goal lead and how wha saints don't want to do is cencede.

shirleysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Pretty sure they did Richardson a season or two ago and he didn't start. And hammond last year
alpine_saint Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Lawro predicting a QPR win. If we lose, I think our fate is sealed. We cant even beat the bottom team with no wins...
Roger Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Lawro predicting a QPR win. If we lose, I think our fate is sealed. We cant even beat the bottom team with no wins... What if we win. The match hasn't happened yet so what's the point in being negative before event. If u were a sportsman u would fail.
alpine_saint Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 What if we win. The match hasn't happened yet so what's the point in being negative before event. If u were a sportsman u would fail. If we win, hope flickers still and we live to fight another week.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 If we win. you'll still be miserable Alpine as you can't say, 'i told you we'd lose'
shirleysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 I wouldn't be surprised to see Lambert start on the bench Saturday. I think Adkins will want someone a little more mobile up top away from home. He's ok at home when we attack at snails pace but someone at little more dynamic would help us on the road.
shirleysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 What if we win. The match hasn't happened yet so what's the point in being negative before event. If u were a sportsman u would fail. To be fair, if he was a sportsman he wouldn't be on here arguing with loons!!
Roger Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 To be fair, if he was a sportsman he wouldn't be on here arguing with loons!! Loons like you if you think lambert will be on bench lol.
alpine_saint Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 If we win. you'll still be miserable Alpine as you can't say, 'i told you we'd lose' B*ll*cks. You really dont get it. I am desperate for Saints to do well, but am in control of my emotions enough to tell that the club set-up currently cannot deliver that. I would love for the team to prove me wrong.
shirleysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Loons like you if you think lambert will be on bench lol. Have you got a poster of Lambert on your bedroom ceiling?
shirleysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Loons like you if you think lambert will be on bench lol. Who should Mayuka start instead of?
Roger Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Have you got a poster of Lambert on your bedroom ceiling? No lol. Le tiss . Seriously though amazed at how saints fans forget all the good work lambert has done and at times carried us on his shoulders. As well as scoring 4 goals in prem despite not playing every game.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 No lol. Le tiss . Seriously though amazed at how saints fans forget all the good work lambert has done and at times carried us on his shoulders. As well as scoring 4 goals in prem despite not playing every game. Got the Friday bug today, buzzing for tomorrow now. Think we've got a great chance of nicking it, they'll be very nervous, but will also cause us problems. I have no doubt about that as they have quite a bit of pace about them, but think if we can go 1-0 up then their crowd will turn on Hughes. Before last weeks game I said we need 4 points from the next 2 games. After getting 1 vs Swansea, we need to get another win under our belts before we start to get cut adrift. Norwich and Villa are starting to pick up some points, while Swansea, Wigan and Stoke have started well and also teams like Fulham, WBA and West Ham storming up the league. Probably have to go with the team that played so well Vs Swansea, only question is the keeper. I'd go with: ------------Gazza Clyne -- Fonte -- Yoshi -- Shaw Punch - Morgan - Cork - Lallana -----------Gaston------------ ----------Lambert------------
Saint86 Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 B*ll*cks. You really dont get it. I am desperate for Saints to do well, but am in control of my emotions enough to tell that the club set-up currently cannot deliver that. I would love for the team to prove me wrong. Alpine... I think the only thing in control of your emotions is lithium tbh. Half your depressive coments are hypothetical and off topic and waste readers time. The thing everyone agrees on is that we want saints to win. We don't want an apparent manic depressive telling us we are wrong unless we state that saints will fail with no better response from u than sarcas We have good players and a good manager. We also lack a GUD defensive leftback. Nigel doesn't need to go. And I would rather keep him AND GWT relegated than hire say bfs and stay up. Seriously.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Sounds like Fabio and Kieron Dyer will be fit for them...Dyer always scores against us ! Zamora and Park miss out though.
S-Clarke Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Queens Park Rangers defender Fabio is available to play against Southampton on Saturday after overcoming a long-term hamstring injury. Park Ji-sung (knee) is unavailable, Bobby Zamora (hip) is a doubt, while Stephane Mbia is suspended, Kieron Dyer and Hogan Ephraim are available after overcoming their respective calf and hamstring problems, but Andrew Johnson (knee) is out.

Saint_clark Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Lawro predicting a QPR win. If we lose, I think our fate is sealed. We cant even beat the bottom team with no wins... Because it's a safer bet in a game between two similar teams.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 So i haven't received my tickets for tomorrow yet so have got to pick up duplicates from the ticket office. Anyone done this before or know what happens with the original ones if other people try and use them?

Anyone done this before or know what happens with the original ones if other people try and use them? Had the same issue a few years ago but it was when Fulham were there. Easy to pick up tickets and didn't take too long. Not sure what happens to the originals but I am guessing there is a legit reason you don't have them and no one will try to use them

Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Oh right, will it be possible to pick them up when we get to London around 12 or will it only be possible to pick then up just before the game?
Saint_clark Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Oh right, will it be possible to pick them up when we get to London around 12 or will it only be possible to pick then up just before the game? As soon as the ticket office is open, I should imagine.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Ah ok. A mate just mentioned to me that they may go up on the coaches?
Saint_clark Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Ah ok. A mate just mentioned to me that they may go up on the coaches? If you were told they would be posted out to you then they shouldn't be on the coaches. Of course, it could be a c*ck up by the ticket office and they put you down for collection, in which case they would be on the coaches.
Saint Garrett Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Nothing surprises me with our shambles of a ticket office anymore!!
The Cat Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Games like this are why we go to football. Massive match, both teams desperate for a win in front of a sell out crowd and 3000 of us. Can't wait.
dannysfc Posted 16 November, 2012 Posted 16 November, 2012 Am Buzzing for this game even though I was at the Swansea game last weekend as it's my first Away one since being in Hospital a few weeks ago with Food Poisoning so We'l See how it goes and Hopefully a Saints team will turn up and Win which is already being billed a 6 pointer so We'l See how it goes...!!! Am going for 2-2 with Tarrabt-(?!)/Hoillet for QPR and Lambert/Schneiderlin for Saints But We'l See!!! Whatever happens whether We Win, Lose or Draw it'l still be a Good Day out in London...!!! COYR!!!
onthemarch Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 You consistently predict the most miserable outcome possible. When things are going badly you are proved right but this purely due to pertinacity not to any insight you may think you possess. Agreed. Alpines negativity is so annoying. Am not sure if he ever goes to games. I suspect he just enjoys to criticise from afar. From the number of posts I doubt he ever leaves the house.....
niceandfriendly Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 The reality is we will probably lose. But let's not get so damned suicidal and depressed if we do! It's just a football game. Still, I'll be watching online hoping for a win and cheering the boys on. To all those who are traveling to London, have a great day.
ericofarabia Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 Lawro predicting a QPR win. If we lose, I think our fate is sealed. We cant even beat the bottom team with no wins... I expect the QPR Fans are even more concerned about him predicting that they'll win - this is the 5th time he has predicted a win for them and has got in wrong every time so far - lets hope his little run continues!! I watched the QPR v Reading match and to be fair the Reading keeper made a few excellent saves and Cisse looked a class above and Taarbat (sp?) as well at times. If we can get an early grip on the game their fans will turn against them - but we need to find that killer instinct to take the lead and then strangle the life out of the opposition. No early Xmas presents please Saints. COYS you can do it. About time we had a win in the capital so that the fans can paint the town red afterwards!!.

saint lard Posted 17 November, 2012 Posted 17 November, 2012 This will be a very difficult match. I can see QPR picking up their first 3 points of the season. sincerely hope we turn in a great display, but I suspect the lacklustre performances will continue. we need a change at the helm, even if we were to get something out of today's game it will just paper over the cracks. Bring home the points please.
