Spudders Posted 10 November, 2012 Share Posted 10 November, 2012 I'm gonna comment on this so that you're not just talking to yourself Ashley!!! In my opinion, for Adkins this is now a must win. For the team as a whole not so much as we have a lotta games to go, but I think if we don't win this Adkins will be gone (I hope that's not the case)
S-Clarke Posted 10 November, 2012 Share Posted 10 November, 2012 Got a hunch that the fate of either manager rests on this game, although QPR's is in a slightly more precarious position. I should see it as a positive that QPR haven't won yet, but that makes me bloody nervous if I'm honest. They're going to win at some point with the players they have. But at least we're going into it with QPR still in the same state, with the same manager. I don't rate him and neither do QPR fans. Glad we're not going to get the ''new manager bounce'' from this game that I felt was inevitable a few weeks ago.

Flyer Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 Fernandes has announced its a must win which means Hughes will be sacked if we dont win. Id quite happily take a loss or draw just to get rid of him as hes the worst manager in my lifetime. We just cant score and the defence is prone to breakdowns. david in sweden Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 I watched the Reading v.QPR game last week and I was astounded by two things; 1) How some of the bone-crushing tackles (from both sides) went by without SOMEONE being sent off.. 2) ..how two sides combined to produce a full-blooded cup tie atmosphere with 39 shots between them...and only manage one goal each. I really fear for our "lightweight" midfielder. Lallana will be kicked all over the place and then get booked for "faking".

Wade Garrett Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 I can't see QPR parking the bus, like Swansea appeared to do yesterday (especially in the 2nd half). Might suit us a little better.
SaintRobbie Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 Is this a must win or a must not lose? I'd not say it was a must win.... more a could or should win. We can beat QPR if we play as we have been and don't make stupid mistakes at the back.

The boy done well Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 Why do I get a message when trying to buy tickets online telling me there's an error and my seats are locked. Tried on several occasions this evening. Got the qualifying number of away games and also a season tickets holder. Those for whom I want to buy similarly qualify and I know 4 is the maximum. Sold out or a problem with the site again?

the stain Posted 11 November, 2012 Share Posted 11 November, 2012 I have a bad feeling about this game. I think they'll turn it one, inspired by our leaky defence and we'll lose 3-0 or 4-1. I really hope I'm wrong. Wouldn't change the team from this weekend. We just really need to make sure we don't lose this one.

Saint Fan CaM Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 This is without doubt a match that's needs a win. I fear for the consequences if we fail to pick-up 3 points, however it's got a draw written all over it I would say. Just hope Ramirez comes back from International duty uninjured (I think he's playing in the week?).

Thedelldays Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Must not lose for sure Normally, had we been anything like decent and a few places up the table, a draw would have been good. But we need wins. Lose this and IMO, relegation would almost be a certainty!!!

tajjuk Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 A must iwn for both teams, I think QPR are actually worst than us, we have been making stupid errors but have played well in quite a few games. They have made stupid errors and have played awfully at times. Watched them against Reading last week and they just looked generally all round bad. Loosing manager will surely get sacked? jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Tony Fernandes has tweeted saying this game is must win for them. Obvious I know but the fact he has gone public puts Hughes and the players under even more pressure. we will have to wait and see if this has positive effect on them or not. We got to cut out errors. One error cost us and we got to take our chances. Team played as planned. Must win next win. No panic. Table is compressed. Defense was awful now fairly solid. Midfield strong. Got to score now. I think Hughes will be fired lose or draw and Adkins will go if we lose. The pressure on both teams will make this an ugly spectacle but nonetheless a truly massive game. Saint Garrett Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Need back 5 continuity. It can't help our side when the defence and keeper are changing every week. Stick with the same side and lets go at them, looked far more solid on Saturday.
Tokyo-Saint Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Stick with the same team IMO. Beat them on organisation and team spirit, individually their players are better.

Saint Charlie Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Outfield should certainly be the same, only question is on the Keeper. I like Gazza and clearly he will be class, but can't help but think its a bit silly to have a keeper of Boruc's experience and not use him. Has it sold out or is the match not on general sale yet... or is the site just playing up? Any information much appreciated. As posted above, I had the same problem yesterday. In the end I went to the ticket office this morning and bought mine. I pointed out that I had tried online yesterday but it said my seats were locked. There was a look of despair accompanied by a shrug of the shoulders so it's obviously not an uncommon occurrence. It's a load of hassle having to do a 40 odd mile trip there and back through Southampton just to buy tickets because their system is c**p. Excluding the ability to buy over the telephone as an alternative is a nonsense and if you ring the ticket office for help you often can't get through at all. You just get the message saying they're all busy so please ring back later. I emailed the ticket office to explain the problem encountered as I did whenI encountered the same problem trying to get Arsenal away tickets but I got no reply then and don't expect to get one now. All I'm trying to do is buy tickets. Surely they want to sell them. Oh, and by the way, the ticket office wasn't busy this morning and I suspect that there were still quite a few tickets left. Saint Lindford Posted 12 November, 2012 Share Posted 12 November, 2012 Same team as on Saturday. QPR will have more pressure on them being at home, should/need win but definitely must not lose. The MUST win games for me are Norwich and Dreading at home. COYR's
