The Adkins way

How nice you use my actual name - does it excite you?

You imply it with every single sarcy put down of anyone who has the audacity to disagree... two things equally fricken sad: eitrher you do it to WUM, or you believe your own sheidt - either way, even under this Government there is help available.

Have you been looking Francis? I think you might have been. It's quite clear mong boards seriously damage your health given tonight's keyboard thumping rants. You should pm verbal, he can recommend a good therapist.

To ****ing right, decent bottle of New Zealands finest consumed and some things need to be said - Most on here are sick and tired of fricken political agenda ****** spouted by the self appointed miserable ****s club - fricken obsessed with every negative story that they wnat to ram down our throats, poorly disguised in their psedo 'passion' as 'football is in their soul' - well they can all **** off. If they really wish football was still the working mans game it was for 80 years until the arsehole 'lads' ruined it for most in the mid 70s, they shoudl remmember WHY it was so popular with the working man - you grafted your nuts off for 50 hours + a week and used your saturday to unwind with the old man and your nippers - you won some, you lost some, and when playing away you went and watched your neighbours - even with a loss its still made you more relaxed afte the graft of the week - you let off steam. Above all it was about being positive, as life in general was hard, and football was an escape for 90 mins - that's what most want now - not some constant drivel misery, agendas, and negativity.

They should look at the fricken definition of 'supporter'...

"Most" on here Francis? Are you the new Nick Illingsworth? Putting yourself up as the voice of the fans and speaking for everyone?!!

16 posts left till 14,000 Turkish. Don't waste them getting all worked up about what Franks Cousin is saying. Make it something special.

Waste em? surely not, most of his 14000 are comic genius put downs, sarcasm and general misery, he should strive to meet this milestone with the same sheidt at the other 13,986.

A man of your age having a drunken melt down on a mongboard, it's as sad as it is funny.

Drunbken meltdown? ha hah ha - seriously they get better - not sure the last time I was 'drunk' - tend to have better things to do with my time. I love it when the only option that remians to you is to act all superior - funny as feck:lol:

Yes but this is linked to your own outlook on life - its why most ARE far more accepting of positive stories than negative ones' date=' because its far more POSITIVE to live life like that - especially when at the end of the fricken day we can do feck all about how NC decides to run the club - and when we have 2 promotions in 3 seaosns, do what everyone demanded when Lowe was here and 'spend some ****ing money', show ambition, shows how fricken ****ed off he is with defeat/draw, yet for some its never enough... simply because they wont be happy until they have a few chummy fan friendly types running the club... well they should remember we had two of those a years ago and look what that led to - the ****ing orange bloke spunking 7mil on a **** or bust approach that ultimately led to admin... ITS ONLY A ****ING GAME... [b']so why ont be positive, see good in people until you see evidence to the contrary?[/b]

I suppose the answer to that is because blind positivity is how bad things can happen. I mean look at Portsmouth giving Peter Storrie the freedom of the city. We NEED to question those in charge and keep our ears open for news that can hurt the club in the longer term. I mean even if we dismiss every negative rumour, we do know about the fallout with MLT, the photos debacle, the poor performance of the ticket office, the flag travesty amongst other things which although possibly dismissed as minor by some, are still a bit depressing and something that the club could do without. Then I actually attend games, read the blog by the Solent guy who talks about Adkins not being entirely in control and warning about our formations before the season had even started. Our seemingly lopsided transfer policy when those who questioned it were derided all summer by the likes of Wes Tender. Then I go into the corporate area and hear that Adkins may be replaced from the mouth of an ex player and all sorts of stories he has heard from discontented members of staff.

I suppose for quite a few the performance on the pitch is the only thing that matters. Personally I think that's pretty sad but probably symptomatic of the Premiership these days and supporters seeing themselves more as customers than anything else.

A man your age continually using 'mong' is far more worthy as a mature stance? Do you stand around the water cooler at work mimicing 'sketch shows?

Have you been following me to work?! You've got me spot on with that!! We all stand around in our comedy ties asking people where the pork is. Oh how we laugh.

Hypo, I have never said that we shoudl not question, or that we should bury heads in sand to avoid addressing issues - but there needs to be some perspective on all this - Matt, for all his genius on the pitch and what he did for us as a club, the memories etc is naturally cut some some slck, but it does not make him right to air his grievences which in teh grand scheme are pretty petty constantly in public - just makes hims look a bit sad really. As fo the rest, well Turkish and otehrs asked why no clamouing for evidence for positive stories - well I like I said, of course they are easier to accept, and no one is being 'harmed' or criticised by a positive story, so whether its true or not does not matter one bit. On teh other hand negative stories that make accustations about folks character, behaviour etc, are and can be harmful - especially when frequently coming out of the mouths of thsoe who admit to and 'issue' with those they are reporting about - so is it any wonder that most rational folk would seek some evidence before forming an opinion... and if none is forthcoming?

Read the post again Hypo, its not about who does or does not agree - its about those obssessed with ramming repetitive stories with no evidence that I have no time for, at no point do I say anything about those who dont agree with me on the positive and negative thing...

You keep inferring i have an issue. I speak as I find Francis. In the last few months I'm on record as giving Cortese his due on several occasions. The fact that most players are reported to be treated like royalty, that of the two transfer negotiations in the summer I was aware of both parties said Cortese was an absolute gent and very respectful, ive also praised him for playing hardball when we are the selling club. Do you demand evidence and sources for this? Yet you choose to ignore that and accuse me of having an agenda. I only speak as I find and Unfortunatly at the moment a lot of this has been negative. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean you need to turn to drink and have meltdowns sunshine.

Must be getting a little low on material there Turkish, having to repeat yourself - what with 'breakdown' sories, used that one before you have - not really that funny then, nor now... beggining to sound like an 80s ITV 'comedian' now - shalll I be equally 'funny' as you and think of a clever nicjk name for ya? are you the forums's Jim Davidson? He was never that funny either...

Zing!

On a thread you've been made to look a bit of a cock with some weak comebacks, that must've been the weakest yet. Keep going, you've given quite a few of us something to laugh about so far. Remember, you must keep replying, this "mongboard" is your life these days. Your post-count is rising as quickly as your credibility is falling.

You see, this is your problem not mine - you still fail to see the difference between why someone would expect some evidence when making an accusation, yet not need one when merely hering a positive story... if you cant get that, nothing i can do about it 'sunshine'

Ah - the classic 'I dont care' - a mighty and often useful reposte, but caution is needed when used, as 14000 posts and a fair few on more than one thread sarcastically commenting on the the 'evidence issue' suggests contradiction, which can make you look a tool...

I have 16,000 but I wouldn't say I care too much about this forum. It is only 7 and a bit posts a day which can quite easily be achieved by having a quick look in the morning and the evening. It hardly takes over your life...

I've never worked out whether Turkish is on a wind up, but it's good to see him getting taken apart. I'd always assumed that he was a bit of a plank but there was something about him that made me wonder if he's a bit of a mongboard genius, but I guess if you throw enough ****, some sticks.

I wouldn't say that the problem is weight or healthiness of the players. None of them seem to be carrying too much extra, and when they do, Adkins normally sorts them out quickly. I certainly don't think we should be encouraging the players to go on fad diets.

LOL! :)

Irony obviously went over your head :)

I was trying to jokingly say we need stronger defenders not dieting ones lol!
