One of my close uni mates (bird) has just moved to Southampton, having lived in Sheffield for the last 5 years - originally from near Cannock.

 

I'm going to meet up with her tomorrow evening after the game and was gunna go for some food and a few drinks somewhere. Where do people advise me to take her seeing as though she knows nothing about Southampton really. Ideally somewhere where you can sit and chill but also has some kind of atmosphere to it.

Trago Lounge and Cenos in Portswood are good for that. Other wise Oxford Street or Bedford Place are your best bet. Otherwise dispence with the foreplay go back to hers get down to why you really are here to see her.

You need to go to Centros back in the 90's, that was perfect for that kind of thing. Sorry no idea now, these days it is all shots for a quid and getting felt up behind Weatherspoons - broken Britain.

Ended up going to the Platform Tavern this evening. Was pretty good night and had some live music on as well! Recommend it to anyone who has never been there!
