Matthew Le Tissier Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Looking forward to seeing him start the weekend. Lets hope he can help sort the shambles out! Hopefully Jos will start ahead of Yoshida to. Keepers anyone's guess.

Turkish Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 So are people saying Shaw should start because they've seen him play and looks class or because Chealsea were rumoured to want him so he must be good?
Smirking_Saint Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Didnt really play long enough for me to make a proper opinion but he looks like, and by all reports he has the ability. I hope he gets a bit of protection before his confidence is completely destroyed. That said, he will probably be an improvement on Fox TBH As for Maya, was he that much worse than the rest of the team on Monday ? Or is he being judged on the times he was played out of position ? S-Clarke Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 I doubt he'll start. NA said as much in his last pre-match conf. - he hasn't been able to put out a settled back 4 all season, and he's now got the opportunity to do that. I doubt he's going to change it around again. Colinjb Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Hope he gets a chance, but if we play as open he will be utterly destroyed by the Swansea winger. Clyne should have the pace/nous to deal with Dyer, Scott Sinclair will not be afraid to run at a 17 year old debutant.
pingwing Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 A whole lot of urm NO. A) Shaw isn't ready, at all. Putting him in how is asking for trouble B) Bring back Jos?! Do we like playing 10 men vs 12??? Not to mention Yoshida has been pretty good overall, he's learning how to push forwards into places where it is safe to tackle instead of doing a Jos and letting them into the box and putting them down. C) Can only hope Adkins either picks Boruc and leaves him in or keeps Gazza in for consistency sake.

CanadaSaint Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Even though Shaw is likely to be a little raw and even a touch overawed for a while, the inability/unwillingness of a wide midfielder to track back magnifies the importance of a defender on that side who can get back quickly. This is where Shaw has a clear edge over Fox, who IMO has been playing better since he was dropped. Swansea will definitely throw some pace at us down that flank, with Dyer, so I can certainly see NA making the change.

Matthew Le Tissier Posted 8 November, 2012 Author Share Posted 8 November, 2012 (edited) You 2 muppets are quality. If I had said I hope he doesn't start you would have been arguing he should. Your like pathetic kids just wanting to Argue for no reason. Shall we keep him on the bench until his 18 th birthday? He's good enough to start and I have it on good authority all going well he is starting So Fox lovers you best say goodbye as he won't be getting back in the side anytime soon. Stop getting upset Matthew Le Missier. Answer the question i asked in my first post. Are you saying he should play because you think he's quality and have seen him play enough to form that opinion or because you are just assuming hes good because of the hype? The Kraken Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Bevis Mugabi might be worth a run out too. It's just an impossibly great name, that. In the next game he should definitely be the designated academy player that makes an appearance, just on his name alone. And I'm really starting to think this MLT character is a bit unhinged, by the way. Just doesn't seem quite all there. Very angry too; I don't know what about though. Thank god I am an old bugger, cos in some folks world I have a job to breeze into for years.
