Should we be brave and.....

I'm still watching the Spurs match. I'm scouting Dawson, and I also like that youth player they've got Carroll. Bale is also having a bit of a stormer to be fair.

Muamba come on the pitch half-time at White Hart Lane to plug his new autobiography "I'm Still Standing".

Also consider that we're in danger of developing a south American clique around the place. The reason Guly comes on so often is to help Gaston communicate as he tires and also think about how Davis was cruely dumped for Gazza

We should play Guly for the first 15 minutes than replace him with a South American deckhand drawn at random from the dockyard.

Look to offload Ramirez in January?

I was buzzing when he signed but looked way off pace on Monday and I've see enough to think that he doesn't suit the Premier League.

If we can break even and tempt someone like Liverpool or Spurs we could reinvest in some much needed defenders

It's tough for me to say it and he'll still be our record signing but he'll be a passenger all season blocking more deserving members of the squad like Chaplow.

Thoughts?

I didn't say that.

Did someone hack your login? You quite clearly did, otherwise.

Let me quote it for you.

Being fair, no one knows how much we'll get for him because no one in see into the future.

To be fair, you didn't say no one can see into the future, you said no one in see into the future. Which is entirely different, isnt it.

I see Klinsman is at the match...Maybe NC should invite him down for a tour of the club..........

Sean Dyche would be the perfect puppet manager for nick nack, no?

He'd be perfect. What's John Barnes up to these days? The Southampton way could also include promoting black managers and I'm sure he'd be happy to be ordered around my Reed and Nick Nack as he couldn't possibly do worse as a manger than he has in the past.

As long as it wouldn't include shining Nick Nack's platforms. That's Sibley's job.

As WUMs go, he is far down on the spectrum. Lots of effort, little end result. The poor chap.

He seems to think himself funny though; bless.

I can only hope that one day I'm as a good a poster as you and Turkish, but then you've both had a lot more practice than me.

Why does asking a question make me a troll?

We can't get our shape right trying to accomodate Gaston and we need someone more like Chaplow who is up for a relegation battle.

Also consider that we're in danger of developing a south American clique around the place. The reason Guly comes on so often is to help Gaston communicate as he tires and also think about how Davis was cruely dumped for Gazza

The problem with your theory is that Guly is Brazilian (and therefore speaks Portugese) while Gaston is Uruguayan (and therefore speaks Spanish). Presumably you meant that Guly is being brought on to communicate with Fonte??

We need to embrace the South American clique and build the team around it

First, replace the entire back four with llamas; they will remind Gaston of home and also they’re so much prettier than donkeys.

Second, so as not to confuse them with our captain we should replace Lallana – and, whilst we at it, Davis and Spiderman – with some South American panpipe players; they can soothe our troubled nerves with ‘We Are Sailing’ and other relaxing songs from the Andies.

Third, ditch Lambert and bring back Neil McCaan; although technically not South American, he’s as near to Lionel Messi as makes no difference

This Dig geezer is clearly a skate, he's even more blatant than my alter ego on POL!

I'll indulge someone else though that questioned Gaston's resale value. Last season, along with Napoli I kept a close eye on Bologna, I went to see them play Juve and kept tabs on them purely because of Gaston in the same way I've kept an eye on Napoli ever since watching them play Lazio and seeing Levezzi tear it up - he stood out just as much! Basically Gaston was one of the top players in Serie A last season, based on his performances at club and country level we got a fantastic deal for him at £14m. He is young, strong, possesses a powerful shot, can head the ball, great first touch but his biggest attribute is his vision. When he begins to get on the same wavelength as some of our strikers he could be the difference between going down and staying up. He isn't the quickest though.

We will make a profit on him eventually, I hope we keep him for a while before cashing in though as he will definitely entertain us!

If he doesn't play on Sat then perhaps there is some credence to the OP?

People laughed at the time and I took some stick. I'm thick skinned though and will bump this myself when Gaston is playing in purple at the end of the transfer window.
