Window Cleaner Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 If true, do we credit NC for our 2 promotions? If NA is responsible for team selection and tactics, then he is showing up to be pretty average. If he's having all the decisions made for him, then he should stand up for himself and the team (unless he's just a yes man here for the contract). For me, he comes out of it poorly either way. Exactly what I thought. Perhaps Barca getting knobbed by Micky Mouse Celtic has convinced someone that perhaps the Barca way isn't the only way. Window Cleaner Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 it's ********. This seaosn alone he didn't come on for Everton or Villa. some might say that was a punishment for drunk driving, although with the way we're playing ATM playing 90 minutes every week is more of a punishment. SB Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 I was very surprised to see a piece of paper on the floor after the press conference, I presume it fell from Adkins pocket as it reads as followed: Nigel I want the formation to be 4-3-1-2 on Saturday and Gaston will play in the hole. Signed Nicola. I take it you're joking. Also like **** would NA speak to journalist behind closed doors, thanks NC for the last two promotions as it clearly wasn't NA? I'm not sure having 16% possession and letting the opponents have 25 shots is a good model to follow either with out defence. - http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/274125/report Looking at those match stats makes me think maybe football manger has been realistic all these years after all! Saint Garrett Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 He gives us a more physical presence in the side, he works his arse off, and was involved heavily in the best part of our season last year. Plus Nigel and the players who have been around a while know what they're going to get for him. You look at the bench and it's not like we have anyone that particularly stands out. Also has played pretty well everytime he's played this season. Instead of moaning about the players why don't you give them a chance, rather than writing them off and making up the fact that he's got it in his contract that he's got to play...? Stu Man Do Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 We'll see wont we. It seems like Nige has told Cortese to keep his nose out. As i said, if that extends to contract issues or not we'll see. We might be hit with legal action for breach of contract if it means Guly doesn't get his 15 minutes minimum. Quick question ... When will the writ be coming through for the 90 minutes Guly sat on the bench away to Everton? ;D

When will the writ be coming through for the 90 minutes Guly sat on the bench away to Everton? ;D That was the last game of his punishment following his drink driving conviction in September. He was dropped for arsenal, not given his 15 minutes against Villa and Everton and forced to play with the reserves against Wednesday. It was all part of Nige and Cortese making him pay as they threatened he would for his conviction.

Not really, injury time can be manipulated by substitions and players rolling about on the turf just because they've had a bit of contact. A substitution adds on 30 seconds extra time. 6 subs is 3 minutes.

CanadaSaint Posted 8 November, 2012 Share Posted 8 November, 2012 Throw in a kid an ruin him in the worst defence in premier league history Sounds like a good idea I initially had the same concern but not any more. In fact I'd go so far as to say that Gazzaniga is handling the pressure of life at the bottom - and behind a creaky defence - better than either of the other two; his in-game demeanour seems impressively level. The water bottle incident doesn't exactly suggest that Boruc, for all his experience, has the necessary bottle ('scuse the pun) for the challenge. LostBoys Posted 9 November, 2012 Share Posted 9 November, 2012 Boruc is crap and as some Celtic fans put it "a Clown". Gazza is good, made some good saves to keep us in the game if only we had a good defence half of the goals he has conceded probably wouldn't of been goals. Boruc, well i don't think i've seen him save anything, he's put the defence under more pressure in more than 1 occasion and some of the goals he's conceded has been his fault. Time with Boruc could mean more goals conceded while time with Gazza would give him the experience he needs. I do not think this is true. Celtic rated him very highly but there were rumours of Stolichnaya- itis while he had injury problems.
