Saint Martini Posted 6 November, 2012 Posted 6 November, 2012 Makes sense. The only way we will see him in a Saints shirt again is if we go down.
pingwing Posted 6 November, 2012 Posted 6 November, 2012 Good, needs games and he'll never get them here. Doubt he'll stay long though in the champ as he was pretty average against Stevenage...

SuperMikey Posted 6 November, 2012 Posted 6 November, 2012 Wasn't good enough in League One imo. Seems like a nice guy, but time to go Danny.
southamptonfclegend Posted 8 November, 2012 Posted 8 November, 2012 He won't play there either.. he was sh*te in League 1.

The9 Posted 8 November, 2012 Posted 8 November, 2012 Suggests a centre back has been signed? Suggests you don't understand how the Prem squad list works. We can't sign ANYONE (other than possibly another currently out of contract goalkeeper) over the age of 21 to play in the Premier League for us before Jan 1st. We have no free slots in the "25".

Suggests you're a bit of **** who isnt as smart as you like to think. I'd lay money a defender has signed a contract effective from the opening of the window
Professor Posted 9 November, 2012 Posted 9 November, 2012 Suggests you're a bit of **** who isnt as smart as you like to think. I'd lay money a defender has signed a contract effective from the opening of the window I agree. This does suggest that a CB has signed an advance contract. Currently we have 4 CBs, Fonte, Yoshiba, Hooiveld, Seaborne, with Stevens and Cork as possible back-up. Its questionable whether any of the first 4 are PL standard withg even our Japanese international yet to show he's worth the £2m we paid, or maybe he is and that's a Championship level fee. I'd like to see 2 new CBs in January and at least Seaborne going out on loan is a step in the right direction. Despite some of the insults about Dan Seaborne on this thread I think he'd do OK at Charlton and make a first choice CB at that level. He's left sided, has good positional sense,m wins a high percentage of high ball and moves well across the back four. He can be slow against a speedy striker if he doesn't lay off enough and I think it was being skinned by Mackail-Smith for, I think, the 4th goal against us in the 4-4 draw at Peterborough in 2011 that turned a lot of fans, and the manager, against him.
Saint Garrett Posted 9 November, 2012 Posted 9 November, 2012 He is absolutely dreadful. I said in pre season if he even gets close to our bench then we have major problems. I still stand by that.
itchen_dan Posted 9 November, 2012 Posted 9 November, 2012 Months loan agreed according to Sky Sports http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11684/8237173.
pingwing Posted 9 November, 2012 Posted 9 November, 2012 He is absolutely dreadful. I said in pre season if he even gets close to our bench then we have major problems. I still stand by that. He was poor in L1, can never forgive his monumental lack of awareness with any attacking player being able to hoof it over his head leaving him confused and left him out of position. CAFC are way to high a level for him and I fully expect that when his contract is up he ends up back at Exeter where he pretty much belongs.
RonManager Posted 11 November, 2012 Posted 11 November, 2012 Played the full 90 today in a 2-0 away win at Brizzle Zity. Apparently at left back.
VectisSaint Posted 11 November, 2012 Posted 11 November, 2012 Played the full 90 today in a 2-0 away win at Brizzle Zity. Apparently at left back. The 2nd goal was initially credited to Seaborne, but I see on the Beeb that it was later changed to Morrison.

david in sweden Posted 11 November, 2012 Posted 11 November, 2012 Suggests a centre back has been signed? If so ...I hope he's 13 stone .....6' 5" and built like a brick outhouse....and knows how to defend properly.
