Haven't seen a thread after last night's match, but I thought Gazza still seemed to be performing pretty well over-all. He seemed more assured than Davis and Boruc still, despite who may be potentially better.

He stood no chance with the goals, the first was coming straight at him until the deflection and the second couldn't be blamed on him.

Boruc has still to find his form and I don't feel we have "settling in time" available, Davis simply wasn't good enough when he played and losing his place won't have made him any more assured.

What does everyone think and why?

Gazza no1 although if Boruc can sort himself out and get fit then him - but sounds like he might have caused a bit of an issue and where we are in the league, the last thing we need is for someone like him in our team.

They all seem much of a muchness, for some reason, despite Borucs reputation (he really should easily be our number 1). I think Adkins needs to decide who is his number 1 and make that clear. Too much chopping and changing is not going to help

Gazza was good enough, needs a bit more time to learn where he wants to be and where he wants the back 4 to be. Main thing is we need to stick with one for a bit because the back 4 are really unsure of where the keeper needs them to be and I stand by Gazza should be the one we work on to get this sorted.

Boruc annoys me because he is fat and erratic, half the game he is shouting at everyone to be somewhere then when it matters he's not doing it. Just needs to be angry and shouty for 90 mins or not at all, not for some of the time and then causing calamity.

Davis I still think is poor, good stopper but that counts for nothing in the prem and his history in goal is well known from Sunderland. Polite way is to forget about that.

As a positive thought watching Ben Foster last night really opened my eyes to what an average keeper he is! Thought we had missed out on something special there for £3m but his kicking was shocking and he looked at sea when we pressed him. He looked like a calamity waiting to happen against us which really surprised me.

He was kicking with his right foot because his usual left leg was injured.

Anyone know who's turn it is for the Swansea game? I work out it should be back with Boruc by now?

Isn't it time we gave Cody Cropper a run out?

Well that's even more confusing for Foster, why did he even try and kick it when he knew it wasn't going to work. Why didn't they get someone to drop back and help him instead of hoofing possession to us. Even why did they play a keeper who is injured? Strange decision there.

That's what the commentators were saying on Sky. He got away with it though, didn't he?

So does anyone have any genuine knowledge (not rumour) about the Boruc situation. I posted a couple of comments pre-match last night expecting Boruc to play because there was a statement last week from Saints that the issue had been investigated and he had been cleared. Then it turns out watching Sky that the issue has not been resolved. Sometimes it would be useful to know what the feck is actually going on at Saints. I cannot believe it takes over a week to sort that out, either he did something wrong, fine him or sack him, or he didn't do anything wrong in which case play him or at least put him on the bench.

Ah was at the game and thought he was a very poor keeper. Yeah he got away with it just, he was miles away from Lamberts chance in the second half and we didn't punish them for the possession. Different day and that could have been WBA's undoing.

Definitely stick with Gazza. He will only improve with experience and at such a young age he could be really good for us (especially with an experienced keeper like Davis to guide him).
