Special mention for the fans

Gutted that I was too skint to make it up - for the atmosphere alone. Our travelling support has been excellent in the main. I know a few Baggies fans and they've all made special mention of it. The difference in attitude between our hardcore home-and-away fans and the crowd at St. Mary's is quite telling.

Anyway, if the players keep under-performing then at this rate the media will have some new 'bestest' to fawn over ;) After all the skates only got that label for continuing to sing when losing once, didn't they?

I went but missed the first half as sutck in a traffic jam getting off the slip road. Stuck for an hour and half and we could see the ground!! :(

Anyone else get stuck?

Support stuck with the team. Some boos when Guly came on but were sound drowned out by support for him. Few idiots behind me slagging off Guly and Fox at every opportunity. Even though Guly did ok when he came on. I swear people are brain washed by this forum and no matter what some players do they will get stick regardless as people just toe the party line or like someone to moan at.

Yep. We were on the slip road at 1915 and could see the ground. My mate jumped out just after kick off and made his way down while I spent ages looking for somewhere to park. Ebded up going in the home end and being escorted through by stewards.

Almost 6 hours in the car for 45 mins of football! Mental.

Agree that there were some people booing Guly, but it's been like that for months now and they probably won't ever stop.

Thought our fans were excellent in the last 20 minutes. Yet again barely a peep out of the opposition (and in a full stadium!) except for the "You're going down with the Villa" chants. Quite liked our response of "We're going down on your sister" which amused me at the time. Good to see a lot of lads down the front stood on seats and getting everyone going.

Adkins coming over at the end was a response to us singing his name during injury time. We all know it isn't solely his fault.

It was a really good show from us from start to finish, the Guly boo's were silly but sounded a lot like the Guly song so it sort of got drowned out by its self which was funny (simpsons boo-urns moment). Plenty of good songs, including a decent attempt at getting when the saints go marching in at the right pace plus the Adkins songs were great as after about 5 it got the point across that we want him to stay, really liked he came over towards us at the end of the game in acknowledgement of the effort.

The food sellers around St Marys need to learn a thing or two from West Brom's lot too, some of the nicest food was to be found on the way to the ground! 1/2 pound steak burgers for £3, fresh chips for £2 (with BBQ sauce) and a large amount of sweets, hog roast and other assorted options made the guys around St Marys look like total ripoffs. There probably was more but was too hungry from the drive up.

Traffic was horrific getting off the M5 into West Brom, took us about an hour to cover the last 2 miles when it was only a little more than an hour from MK to that bit. Should really update the ground guide with big warning letters to just get the train as driving around there was just frustrating. Thankfully someone let us out across the highstreet to get home otherwise we could have been stuck there for even longer.

What really annoys me about WBA is they take you in one end of the ground and let you out the other end and it is a bit of trek to get back if you have parked the side you went in. From experience we parked the side we get let out so go away quite quickly and didnt have any problems getting there but left at 2.00 as know what the traffic can be like if you leave later.

Our support was amazing last night. Despite being away on a Monday night and a dismal performance, they could be heard getting behind the team and being positive all night. I heard far more saints chanting on the telly than for WBA. You'd imagine that would really lift the team and spur them on...

West Brom fans were terrible- practically metres away from us yet sat there quietly apart from a few barely comprehensible references to us going down with the Villa and knowing that they're dopey midlanders.

The Zoopla half time game was decent tho.

Total praise to the fans who went last night, I only caught a bit of the mtch on R5L, but heard the "who the f*ck islaughung now" very nicely. I sang along in the car and the commentary was all about how good WBA were.

Robbie Savage was quite bleak about us - just not good enough in defence, not closing down quickly enough and almost inviting WNBA to shoot and score.....

Yeah we didn't know that. Was a big, cold, depressing trek back to the car.

Fans were quality. I didn't actually hear any Guly booing, just the WBA fans shouting 'Whooo?'

Thought they were very loud when they got going, but they only ever got going for 2 minutes after a goal, then shhhhhhh.

That traffic was ridiculous, managed to push in at the front just as the slip road appeared but by then was nearly kick off so just dumped the car down by the Vine. The walk from there along the railway was mad - pitch black and in a lot of places no fence or anything. Got back to the car after the marathon, around the ground route march to find a bloody parking ticket. Not the best away day I've had but everyone was in good voice. Anyone know what happened with that lad and the stewards?
