Not sure why you think this would be locked.

As I said in the match reaction thread, he was a bit clumsy at first but then affected the game more than Davis or Schneiderlin had at all beforehand.

Why didnt Puncheon come on with mayuka instead? More obvisious i would of thought? Maybe Guly is in one of cortese special handshake clubs?!= This could explain everything! ;)

Because Puncheon has done exactly the sum total of nothing in the premier league for us (or the champ for that matter). ;)

On and I thought Guly was alright tonight, put him self about a bit, dropped deep which helped with the formation and shape, just came on too late.

Then you obviously know nothing about football.

And you obviously never saw Ali Dia - a more awkward, 50p headed, aimlessly running around performance it would be difficult to find.

Hope he breaks his legs next time he drinks drives and injures no one except himself and his car.

Dear sammysaint, you really are a grade one idiot!

Love,

Norm.

Sammy, you really should use this motto, 'engage brain before writing'. I'm happy to pass on that tip as you might find it useful when you grow up

Cortese rates him hence over the last few games he gets his 15 mins.

I checked last night and he has been sub 6 times this season. 3 times he came on with exactly 15 minutes to go, once with 23 minutes to go and twice not at all. However, i'm pretty sure the two games he didn't come on were when he was coming back from injury. I put a post on the UI last night before the game saying "will Guly come on with 15 to go" and though and behold, bang on 75 minutes who should be on the touchline!!!!

In fairness, Puncheon has scored and (I think) got 2 assists this season.

I've also heard that he must come on when we're chasing games or need a fresh pair of legs. Very suspicious stuff indeed :suspicious:

And in all of these games he's done exactly what to prove that he is the man to do this?

Sorry guys a friend wrote this on my account while round my watching the game, i dislike guly as a person for the drink driving and i dont really rate him as a player, i would not of put that unless he did indeed drink drive again and hurt someone, but not for his performance as people say he wasn't that bad, aldo that header was pathetic lol, if you still want abuse go ahead but at least come down to king gym and have a chat with me 1st or at SMS before a game.

Sammy, you need to change your password so that you 'friend' is unable to use you PC. Guly is not my favourite player but I would not wish him harm, even though he was a complete idiot for DD.

To be fair I thought it was well known to everyone and his dog that we always take certain players, or certain types of players (returning from injury, over 30s) off at the 75 minute mark to prevent them getting fatigue-related injuries. Lambert's usually a prime candidate for the hook due to his body type and age, Ramirez was always going to get pulled when returning from injury.

Puncheon and Mayuka weren't both going to come on as since Spurs Mayuka's being viewed as a wide right midfielder.

He has 3 assists in the Prem, no goals. His goal against Stevenage doesn't add much to the "Prem Player" argument.

FWIW I was in the second row of the stand in the corner of our fans and nearer the goal than anyone except a couple of people I was with, and when Guly did that header Olsson was fouling the hell out of him, he hooked and yanked his arm just as he headed it as well. Stuff you expect in the Prem, but definitely a factor.

Puncheon was given the goal Vs Villa.

Yeah, but FantasyLeague.com is my assist bible, and I'm going with what Associated Press reported on the day. ;)

FWIW he's our 3rd top scorer in FL behind Lambert and Lallana. Though Schneiderlin, Ramirez and Davis all have 1 goal as well.
