Surprised. Be nice if we can get a few more ? Although unlikely as it didn't say 'initial allocation'. I guess the club are playing it safe as City didn't sell out, however be a shame if we can't take any more.

I hope we get more tickets as I brought 2 tickets this morning but had to get them in 'Severely Restrcited View'. I would rather be there than not so just went for them but hopefully the club will get some returns or we get more tickets for Liverpool!

Thought the home side HAS to offer 10% of the overall capacity or 3000, whichever is less....?

But probably not in instalments over a couple of weeks, if we have taken (2000) then presumably they have sold or are selling the remainder to home fans?

Idle speculation by me alert, can anyone confirm if this is correct?

Well in recent games against Newcastle and Man City, they've only given them 2000 too, when I'm sure they could have sold more.

I expect there is some sort of health and safety nonsense behind it.

Yep it does but for some reason Liverpool get away with offering less.

Hopefully we do what we did to Leeds in League One and give him 1,800 tickets. Doubt we will though.

Surprised at how quickly these sold out, when they went on sale to just season ticket holders (not with away games on file) there was only restricted view left, good turn out.

I guess Saints had to take up the extra allocation on a "no returns" basis and after what happened at Man City decided to only take the smaller allocation. Fair enough really. DOn't think many of us thought we'd sell so many, so quickly.

According to the football ground guide, they only give 2,000 tickets. That can't be right though, surely?

It is, seems a oddly small allocation, but it's the full one they give out.

There are two problems I have with our sale of Liverpool tickets.

Firstly, they are more expensive than the Everton tickets, at a more financially tricky time of year (people saving for Xmas), Liverpool are lower in the table than Everton and the city (and area, and pubs, and nights out) around the ground are exactly the same - so why on earth are we able to sell this out but not Everton, which other than the opposition is an identical fixture ? The weird "big club" effect is still in place for Saints fans. Bizarre - unless someone wants to make a case that we've sold out because we think we've got more chance of winning this one...

The other problem I'm having with the sale of away tickets is that the limited number of wheelchair and ambulant/enabler tickets are not available online, so we now have the utterly shameful sight of ONLY the disabled having to queue up on "launch day" at 9am in the p155ing rain. As a customer service for disabled customers that is an absolute disgrace.

United/Everton/Arsenal always seem to have up to behind the goal. That's plenty more than 2,000.

It's not, United had 2k, ours will be like that, it used to be more a long time ago.
