rshephard3 Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Will we be bottom by the end of the day? Who would people like to take 3 points here? With QPR's squad you'd imagine they see this as a great chance to begin to pull away from less gifted groups like us and Reading. Thoughts? eurosaint Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 I guess that a draw would be best for us but all in all the results so far this weekend make life for us even more difficult ! Any points from WBA will be a huge relief !
CB Fry Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Reading to win for me. Would like to see the QPR meltdown if they lose. And Reading are going down anyway. Probably with us.
Turkish Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Reading to win for me. Would like to see the QPR meltdown if they lose. And Reading are going down anyway. Probably with us. Not us. We are heading for Europe!

beatlesaint Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 QPR for me. They wont stay where they are, squad far too good once they all get to know each other and settle. A draw would be ideal, the one result I think we don't want is a Reading win.

Football is a funny old game though, I remember Newcastle getting relegated with a squad that should have been easily mid-table. Don't take anything for granted, they're in the **** as much as we are and it will take a fair bit to get them out of it as well.

JackFrost Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Personally I think it's got to the point where I don't really care. WE have to start winning games, that's the only thing that matters when it comes to our survival.
mulletsaint Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Gotta be a draw for me. Both teams are winless in the league and I'd like it to stay that way for as long as possible and let the pressure build. The other results went against us yesterday so would be nice for one to go our way. However all that is for nothing if we don't start to win some games. supersonic Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Is there a way in which both teams can get 0 points today? and fwiw, I think QPR will win 2-0, unless Reading get a 5 goal headstart
aintforever Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 I think a draw will be the best result. A win for either side would give them a boost.

Even then the match would be replayed at a later date. I think you have to accept that one way or another at least 2 points will be awarded today. captainchris Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 One thought has occurred to me that, if QPR lose Mark Hughes could get the heave ho...........This might just save Adkins for another week or two if we lose on Monday.....
Saint Charlie Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 1-0 Reading. Both teams look limited.
Nigel=God-Poyet=Sod Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Reading looking stronger than QPR, who seem to have no confidence at all. Leigertwood is very solid and offers good protection to the Reading back four. Gorkss also having a good game, more evidence that we may have missed a trick last summer. If reading do win, Mark Hughes will get sacked I think.

I know where fulham are..but the performance they put in at SMS, without berbatov and Petric....they should have been easily beaten..they were so poor THAT DAY

Lazlo78 Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 Only saw the 1st half but QPR looked strangely disjointed - a lot of aggro whenever there was a bad pass etc. Reading look like a solid team but they are limited in ability. WOW - what a chance for QPR!
MOSaint Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 It'd be nice if the ground opened up and swallowed all 22 men into a dark abyss. But failing that, hopefully it will stay 1-1.
Saint_Randell Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 I see Champions League winner Bosingwa who we would be 'mental not too want' is having a great game. By the way he's playing **** if the sarcasm didn't register.

david in sweden Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 best result for us really, despite going bottom. At least neither of them will move too far ahead of us. some consolation to note that in a game with ....39 shots (more than half off target).... they only managed 2 goals between them. The down side is probably that the very fast-moving and physical nature of this game was seen with a lot of big guys handing out some very hard tackles ...and not a few dangerous fouls. It doesn't auger well for a team like Saints who like to play the ball around but are dangerously " lightweight " in midfield, and a bit slow at the back. Badger Posted 4 November, 2012 Share Posted 4 November, 2012 As a positive out of that, its good that they both 'dropped' two points. But slightly concerned that QPR have still to win.Although its good for us in one way, and long may that continue, 'sod's law' dictates where that first win might just come from : Fair enough, but these teams are ordinary and not picking up points. Loftus Rd in two weeks is huge. We all know how obliging Saints are in allowing teams to overcome such statistics.
