Will we be bottom by the end of the day? Who would people like to take 3 points here? With QPR's squad you'd imagine they see this as a great chance to begin to pull away from less gifted groups like us and Reading.

Thoughts?

I guess that a draw would be best for us but all in all the results so far this weekend make life for us even more difficult !

Any points from WBA will be a huge relief !

Reading to win for me. Would like to see the QPR meltdown if they lose. And Reading are going down anyway. Probably with us.

Not us. We are heading for Europe!

QPR for me. They wont stay where they are, squad far too good once they all get to know each other and settle. A draw would be ideal, the one result I think we don't want is a Reading win.

Football is a funny old game though, I remember Newcastle getting relegated with a squad that should have been easily mid-table. Don't take anything for granted, they're in the **** as much as we are and it will take a fair bit to get them out of it as well.

Personally I think it's got to the point where I don't really care. WE have to start winning games, that's the only thing that matters when it comes to our survival.

Gotta be a draw for me. Both teams are winless in the league and I'd like it to stay that way for as long as possible and let the pressure build. The other results went against us yesterday so would be nice for one to go our way. However all that is for nothing if we don't start to win some games.

Is there a way in which both teams can get 0 points today?

and fwiw, I think QPR will win 2-0, unless Reading get a 5 goal headstart

Unless some of the sleety snowy stuff falling here this morning heads 80 miles east and turns into a snowstorm forcing the match to be abandoned, 0 points for both teams today is an unlikely scenario. Even then the match would be replayed at a later date. I think you have to accept that one way or another at least 2 points will be awarded today.

Reading looking stronger than QPR, who seem to have no confidence at all. Leigertwood is very solid and offers good protection to the Reading back four. Gorkss also having a good game, more evidence that we may have missed a trick last summer.

If reading do win, Mark Hughes will get sacked I think.

Fulham are 7th and West Ham 8th you Moong Bean.

I know where fulham are..but the performance they put in at SMS, without berbatov and Petric....they should have been easily beaten..they were so poor THAT DAY

the fulham side that turned up at SMS were utterly terrible....

So were Man United for 80 minutes.

Fulham were bad first half against us, much better second half.

Fair enough, but these teams are ordinary and not picking up points. Loftus Rd in two weeks is huge.

Only saw the 1st half but QPR looked strangely disjointed - a lot of aggro whenever there was a bad pass etc.

Reading look like a solid team but they are limited in ability.

WOW - what a chance for QPR!

This made me smile but think its true...

Only saw the last 10 minutes. Both teams looked **** and one-dimensional. Surely we'll finish above both won't we? Surely?

They looked **** because they are both under pressure and beginning to panic.... lets hope we can keep our nerve!

best result for us really, despite going bottom. At least neither of them will move too far ahead of us.

some consolation to note that in a game with ....39 shots (more than half off target).... they only managed 2 goals between them.

The down side is probably that the very fast-moving and physical nature of this game was seen with a lot of big guys handing out some very hard tackles ...and not a few dangerous fouls.

It doesn't auger well for a team like Saints who like to play the ball around but are dangerously " lightweight " in midfield, and a bit slow at the back.

As a positive out of that, its good that they both 'dropped' two points.

But slightly concerned that QPR have still to win.Although its good for us in one way, and long may that continue, 'sod's law' dictates where that first win might just come from :

We all know how obliging Saints are in allowing teams to overcome such statistics.

Officially bottom now and five points from safety

Lets hope that fires them up, pride and motivation, and all that. Its not as if we have a team of foreign mercenaries only here to pick up their pay packets is it ?
