Appy Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Saturday Man Utd 2-1 Arsenal Fulham v Everton Norwich v Stoke Sunderland v Aston Villa Swansea v Chelsea Tottenham v Wigan West Ham v Man City 17.30 Sunday QPR v Reading Liverpool v Newcastle Hoping for wins for Stoke, Sunderland, Chelsea, Spurs, and a 0-0 draw between Reading and QPR with both sides finishing with 8 men. Oh, and a healthy win for Notts County would do nicely. Would we not want Pompey to win and get to the 3rd round? Fancy a game against them.
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Would we not want Pompey to win and get to the 3rd round? Fancy a game against them. Depends which team Nige would put out!
Spudders Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Would we not want Pompey to win and get to the 3rd round? Fancy a game against them. Getting beat by them when they were two divisions above us was tolorable, getting beat by them when they are two below us would not be!
Jack Posted 3 November, 2012 Author Posted 3 November, 2012 Would we not want Pompey to win and get to the 3rd round? Fancy a game against them. I just want to see them lose every single week tbf.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Wigan out playing Spurs at the lane! they have missed 2 sitters already!
Saints foreva Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Depends which team Nige would put out! I would fully expect him to put out our strongest team if we were to draw them in the cup.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Sharp scores again for Forest! well done Billy
OttawaSaint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Fulham and Norwich both ahead, not looking too good so far for us... ****smouth are losing though...
saints_is_the_south Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 The way things stand there are 3 points between us and safety, and 5 points to Wigan and 6 to Norwich. Can't see anything other than a defeat Monday so this weekend may be the one where we are starting to get cut adrift.

Yeah - with Norwich winning if Villa suddenly went a goal up then we would be five points from safety.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Wigan score at spurs having outplayed them thouroughly! looks like a missed chance last week for some points! Spurs yet to have a decent shot!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 If Wigan and Norwich both win, Nigel should go tonight imho
Dig Dig Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Villa leading - all going badly today. Adkins out. Everyone is far too open.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 If Wigan and Norwich both win, Nigel should go tonight imho Sorry just what influence does Nigel have over Wigan and Norwich?
Berkshire Saint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 This is ****. I expect QPR will beat Reading tomorrow as well so we'll be bottom by the time we play!
ericofarabia Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 If Wigan and Norwich both win, Nigel should go tonight imho  please tell me this is a wind up.
Thedelldays Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Why haven't Wigan written this game off? We are already adrift
Window Cleaner Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Why haven't Wigan written this game off? We are already adrift not looking great so far today, looking at 2 wins to get out of the drop zone is troubling.
silversaint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 10 games in chaps, lets not panic. Control the controllables.
Jack Posted 3 November, 2012 Author Posted 3 November, 2012 It just shows how easy we've been making it for other sides to take points off us. There are 'surprising' results all over the place, apart from when we play and lose every week.
S-Clarke Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Just seen the scores, wow. What a total ****ter for all 3 clubs at the bottom if it stays like this.
skintsaint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Looking at Swanseas back line it points out how you can organise without having the quality and still keep it tight. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
S-Clarke Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Villa, Wigan, Norwich win. Fulham and Swansea pick up points. What a nightmare of a day.
Matthew Le God Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Just seen the scores, wow. What a total ****ter for all 3 clubs at the bottom if it stays like this. Stoke and Sunderland aren't anything special and are themselves in the relegation mix-up.
LGTL Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Well lets hope QPR and Reading both lose tomorrow..... oh.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Spurs looked aimless and toothless against a well drilled wigan who played as a team got the tactics right and took away all 3 points!
S-Clarke Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Stoke and Sunderland aren't anything special and are themselves in the relegation mix-up. Both of those sides will be fine, got more than enough nous about them. They'll flirt for periods, but will be mid-table.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Spurs looked aimless and toothless against a well drilled wigan who played as a team got the tactics right and took away all 3 points! Getting the impression that the PL is more about managers than players.
rshephard3 Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Well lets hope QPR and Reading both lose tomorrow..... oh. Ha. Can't wait for one of them to take 3 points and round off a sh*tter of a weekend before we go to West Brom to allow Long to return from injury with a few goals. Excellent.
Saint Charlie Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Both of those sides will be fine, got more than enough nous about them. They'll flirt for periods, but will be mid-table. When you look at Stoke's lineup their midfield is absolutely woeful. Unfortunately they have quality at CB (Huth, Shawcross) and CF (Crouch) which will see them do ok.
Saints foreva Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Watched the Swansea game and they will pass it around us for fun next Saturday.
trousers Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Win on Monday and we'll be 5 points from mid-table #perspective
hypochondriac Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Win on Monday and we'll be 5 points from mid-table #perspective Lose and it's 8 points...
aintforever Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Getting the impression that the PL is more about managers than players. Shows how well Redknapp did.
badgerx16 Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 We have yet to play Reading, QPR, Norwich, Sunderland and Stoke. Villa, Wigan, and Norwich have yet to play Citeh or ManUre. We are still masters of our own destiny.
Window Cleaner Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Win on Monday and we'll be 5 points from mid-table #perspective still be in the bottom 3 though.
Thedelldays Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Getting the impression that the PL is more about managers than players. At last Someone gets it You watch us shoe horn lambert and Rodrigues on the pitch. Both Ramirez and lallana. And/or, play way too open Then watch the excuses flow on here
lordswoodsaints Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Lets just hope none of reading or QPR win tomorrow and that we get something on Monday
London Saint Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 Villa, Wigan, Norwich win. Fulham and Swansea pick up points. What a nightmare of a day. We can't go through the season relying on teams around us NOT picking up points Recent weeks have been fair to us in terms of not being left behind. Today was just an example how things can swing away from you very quickly
Dig Dig Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 We've not even kicked a ball today, why are people still whining on like little girls? We eat point gaps up for breakfast.
Thedelldays Posted 3 November, 2012 Posted 3 November, 2012 This set of results shows that decent managers are able to go away from home, keep it tight and get a win We will continue with players that don't work in certain formations Should be either lambert or rodrigueZ Either lallana or Ramirez And mayuka to start
