Nice to see Deano on the cover of the Leicester vs Bournemouth programme:

Meanwhile, his pal Papa Waigo N'Diaye scored this weekend for Ettifaq FC in their derby match with Al-Nahda in Dammam.

He cut in from the left, nutmegging Al-Nahda right back Abdullh Al Dossari and curling past the keeper.

Looking like Deano is nailed on for another promotion, although he must be frustrated that he hasn't started many games.

Would think he is a good character to have though and a hard worker so good luck to him and would be nice to see him play at SMS again.

Meanwhile, his old pal Papa Waigo N'Diaye is still at Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi PL and recently scored a hattrick as they beat last season's Champions Al-Fateh 4-1.

Here is the aftermath of his second goal:

Could either Deano or Papa be good options for next season? Both consumate professionals, and know the club.

Stop wumming, you're becoming very tedious.

Nice for the club to not forget and try to erase where we have been the last decade or so. Nice touch. I like it. And used to love Waigo.

Agree. He added 'x-factor' to our attack. Loved those days.

After all the crap we had been through the preceding years he was a good signing. He got a few goals (especially in the JPT), was offside so many times it become a running joke at SMS but most of all was a real character that gave us all a few laughs after the doom and gloom we'd been through. One of those players who despite his short time here and being pretty mediocre as a player will still be remembered years down the line.

Happy birthday Papa

For sure. We had to endure some proper drab ****e for a few years on our way down. He was an exciting player to watch in many ways - could have got more goals I suppose... but the run in the JPT was worth it all alone and then some.

Papa was awesome, he wasn't up to much ability wise, but was a good laugh at L1 level. He was always offside..!!

I think opponents didnt know what to expect from him, much like his teammates.

Didn't fit the typical L1 striker profile!

My favourite Papa Waigo moment was when we nearly ran him over near Bedford Place when he walked across the road to the car park without looking. :D

The Senegalese Longy was last spotted playing for Italian Serie D side U.S. Folgore Caratese A.S.D.

Probably our best player never to have played hugher than League One.

Waigo celebrating winning the Johnstone Paint trophy like we had just won the Champions League was another classic from him.

With a sea of 55,000 Red & White adorned jubilant Saints fans inside the stadium it probably felt like a Champions League final.

After a goalless spell at Serie D Folgore Caratese, often known as the Solihull Moors of Italy, the elusive Waigo is apparently registered to Masafi Club of the UAE.

Not sure what Dean Hammond is doing, will probably pop up as Nigel Adkins' Gardener on one of his morning motivation videos.

Nice to see Papa and Deano at @Dig Dig birthday party tonight, alongside other SFC top lads including Jeff Le Taxi, Camden Brett, BGComplaints, Ron and Dave.

P&D both on form and complementary about Saints under RM!
