Dan Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 Feel sorry for the 500 or so that made the 500+ mile round trip for a reserve match tonight. I'm all for Adkins, but anyone that plays a weakened side is a **** in my eyes! I mean not even having lambert and co on the bench is nothing short of disgusting. Were not playin until Monday FFS! Thankfully only back to Sheffield for me, feel sorry for the rest of you though.
Olallana Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 we´re not playing until monday, but we were playing 48hrs ago.... and this was the league cup......who cares about that one.... Man C lost in the round before this with a weakened side, you think they care?

Man C lost in the round before this with a weakened side, you think they care? Lots of us care. We'd love to see our club in the final of a cup or to win a trophy. If you don't want that fair enough. Olallana Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 well for me this is all about priorities.....but if you think we should play players that did play 48hrs ago and increase risk of getting them hurt and miss leauge games.... yeah we have different thoughts then... syd_barrett_saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 Better than losing 7-5 after being 4-0 up though Exactly, and with half their first team playing, going to extra time. At least we avoided such a tiring and demoralizing night for our first team players. Let's see how well we do against West Brom, and Reading against QPR this weekend, before making judgement on how we approached the game tonight. Can't believe the knee-jerk reactions tonight. I can understand after another lost league game, but after this meaningless fixture? Crazy.

I agree - you only have to see the hunger of Arsenal tonight to see why as a club at the moment we are pathetic

Saints Warrior Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 If the club had priorites then done enter cups and by some defenders, why didnt they do that at the start of the season??
Tractor_Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 Better than losing 7-5 after being 4-0 up though Really? TBH I'd be happy if we actually scored, put one on target or even put one off target. SHOOT FFS
VectisSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Share Posted 30 October, 2012 Better than losing 7-5 after being 4-0 up though Especially when you look at the Arsenal team. We played our reserves, not sure they didn't put Walcott and Arshavin out with the 3rd team :-) Can you imagine the melt down on here if we had lost a 4-0 lead with our first team out to an Arsenal XI. Not trying to put a gloss on our performance though which sounded absolutely shocking. 3 prem teams lose out to lower league opposition, and Villa struggle against our new manager's league one team (joking).
