Miltonroader07 Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 to consider it "game on" for the New Year ??
This Charming Man Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 20 at least. Though we should just be content with making double figures, with a defence like ours, our main aim should be just trying not to humiliate ourselves any further.
Miltonroader07 Posted 30 October, 2012 Author Posted 30 October, 2012 Yeah, my thoughts we 20-23, looking at the games to come I struggle to see that I am afraid, very afraid!!
Mr X Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 This team/manager isn't good enough we need a change if were in the same situation at Xmas, don't know where are next points are going to come from
PhilippineSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Doesnt matter we will still be above your team
Miltonroader07 Posted 30 October, 2012 Author Posted 30 October, 2012 Look at the games to come and realistically wba a one swansea h three qpr a three newcastle h one norwich h one liverpool a zero reading h three sunderland h one fulham a one 14 points ....... That is my worry and i pray that i am wrong !!
Spudders Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 MiltonRoader in starting a half decent non wind-up thread shocker!!! So long as we are not cut adrift too much from those around us, I don't think we even need to focus on a number. A couple of new signings in the right places could totally transform us with several months of games to play. We just need to keep up with the other teams that are also awful at the moment
Miltonroader07 Posted 30 October, 2012 Author Posted 30 October, 2012 Thank you, wind up merchant i may be........... Fish fiddling skate i am not 100% sfc
Spudders Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Thank you, wind up merchant i may be........... Fish fiddling skate i am not 100% sfc At least you have admitted that, there's hope for you yet!
Spudders Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Thank you, wind up merchant i may be........... Fish fiddling skate, i am not 100% sfc Or did you just miss the comma! I've added it in above for you
pingwing Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Minimum 14 ideally at least 20. Essential to beat QPR, Reading and Norwich and a single draw against anyone else.
The Kraken Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Thank you, wind up merchant i may be........... Fish fiddling skate i am not 100% sfc Aren't wind-ups supposed to be clever and/or funny? Sadly you are neither.
Spudders Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Aren't wind-ups supposed to be clever and/or funny? Sadly you are neither. To be fair, I find Dalek & Alpine to be neither of these things!
Pilchards Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 How many points for what? a challenge for the title or to stay up? It depends on how the other teams get on really, I think we should take one game at the time and try scrape a boring draw away and get a win at home on every game we play now.
S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 To stay up, I always like a team to have around 15-20 points by January. Much less than that, and they have an almighty fight in the 2nd half of the season.
Wade Garrett Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Look at the games to come and realistically wba a one swansea h three qpr a three newcastle h one norwich h one liverpool a zero reading h three sunderland h one fulham a one 14 points ....... That is my worry and i pray that i am wrong !! At this moment in time, I would bite your hand off for those results.
Georgie Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I know this was a long time ago but in 98/99 we had 2 points after 9 games and minus 18 goal difference. By game 18 we had 13 points. Some people just seem to forget this is how it was nearly every season. If we get to January not too far away from safety and get some decent defenders in at the start of Jan I reckon we will be fine
Jack Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Look at the games to come and realistically wba a one swansea h three qpr a three newcastle h one norwich h one liverpool a zero reading h three sunderland h one fulham a one 14 points ....... That is my worry and i pray that i am wrong !! Realistically, you think we'll only lose one of the next 9, having just lost seven out of 9? I'm not so sure.
brmbrm Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 "Game on" would be 3 points or less below 17th. Or maybe even more. Preferable 10 points above, but that ain't going to happen
Junction 9 Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I can see the safety target being quite low in the Prem this year, maybe 35 points. We'll be at least 10 points short of even that.
