SaltashSaint Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 What with our shocking defending so far this season and our obvious lack of Premier League experience, does anyone else feel that Silvestre would be a good addition to our squad. He is a free agent and, in my opinion, he could come straight in and improve us at the back.
RonManager Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 My granny lived in Saltash, we used to go on holiday there every August. There was a wonderful chippy near the station. The signalman lived in the same street (Moorland View) and would let me into the signal box and allow me to pull the levers.
Saint Garrett Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 Someone mentioned last week he'd gone somewhere in India or something?! I think he'd be worth a trial at least. Better than seaborne at the very least!

Lighthouse Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 Someone mentioned last week he'd gone somewhere in India or something?! I think he'd be worth a trial at least. Better than seaborne at the very least! Based on what? He is 35 and hasn't been seen in England since Arsenal let him go 2 years ago. He is probably glacially slow and according to Wiki he failed to impress on trial at West Ham.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Surely this guy even at 35 is as good as what we have already or better with great experience?
max_saints Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 if boruc is that overweight after not playing since last season how fat is this one going to be, have we become a weight loss program now?!
skintsaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Might be wrong but always thought he was a defender who relied on his pace...him and O'Shea always seemed to be the weakest links of the Utd defence in his time there. Think he is too old now anyway.

Wade Garrett Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 if boruc is that overweight after not playing since last season how fat is this one going to be, have we become a weight loss program now?! Yes, it's the points plan. We lose 3 of them every weekend. Should be like skeletons by the end of the season.
Colinjb Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 He has agreed to join a side in the Indian second division in January and is under contract with them. So no chance.
John Boy Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Wasn't he on Soccer AM on Saturday promoting his own brand of Hooch, which had Hells Bells and the bloke fumbling their words for a moment after a little trial snifter.

He is a free agent and, in my opinion, he could come straight in and improve us at the back. This was discussed in a thread last week and the strong consensus was that the club should make an approach.
