Olallana Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 have we got any of those so far during the nine games?? I´m sure we have but I can barely remember it actually, can it be 2-3 so far? I think we need to play a bit more on Rickies and Jays feets in the central area of the field to get those and when we get Ramirez back that would be one of our largest threats. It would be now too with Rickie on the field. Right now much of our games is to go wide and then put crosses into the area and that will never give us freekick oppurtinites that we can take advantage of. If we mix our game a bit and play throughballs on the ground we can definitely get great scoring oppurtinites this way.
pingwing Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 Got 2 against West Ham, Rodriguez took the first that was troubling the cars driving past the ground, Rickie took the second after shouting down Guly and grazed the wrong side of the bar. The others generally have been loft it into the back post area.
doddisalegend Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 Can't remember the last time we scored direct from a free kick I seem to remember (though I could be wrong) Lambert scoring a few his first season with us.
kpturner Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 Most of our free kicks this season have been pretty offensive.

His free kicks look dangerous but they're pretty predictable without much movement in the air.
skintsaint Posted 29 October, 2012 Posted 29 October, 2012 We used to do creative free kicks in the first season under NA IIRC. Now we just seem to aim at RL all the time, or shoot and miss.
