Turkish Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 Everyone should get on with their lives. Quite. It's utterly pathetic.
Cabrone Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 Good grief what a storm in a teacup from a tiny number of pansies that apparently follow this club. When he has gained full match fitness I suspect Boruc will turn out to be the most important signing we make this season. With a defence as porous as ours he may well turn out to be the difference between relegation and survival, he's that important to this team (not that any of the boneheads have given it any thought). He's our No 1 so back him, back NA and back the team. They are giving it their best shot but to go from league 1 to the prem in 2 seasons is very very tough ask. Turkish Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 It does make me laugh after so many people are writing him off after TWO games. This guy have got quality and experience. He hasn't played or trained since May So it's understandable that he's going to take a while to get in shape and his sharpness back.
Norm Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 AB could turn out to be a really good signing. He just needs time/games and a little help from his local Weight Watchers.

Its all very well saying he will come good, give him time etc etc, but how much time do we have? I'm certainly not writing the guy off after two games and he clearly has a good pedigree, but from what I've seen so far he's no better than Kelvin. As we've got three or four players on the fringes of coming into the team perhaps Mr Reed etc should earn some of their wages and arrange a few more U18 games to get these guys upto sharpness. charliemiller Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 FWIW when he rushed out to block Defoe he did a star spread very like a certain ex Man United blonde goaly used to do , I was sitting right in line with it in the Chapel and commented that technically was very good . IMHO he will be a very good keeper for us , give him time guys !! Neimi wasnt brilliant in his first five games .
alpine_saint Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 Neimi wasnt brilliant in his first five games . Problem was, Niemi turned w*nk when Lundekvam lots his bottle and interest in 2005, and the rest of the defence followed suit. Our defence is in a similar state today. That's the problem with panic signings. Without wishing to go over old ground again, You have to again question our transfer policy, if he is good enough for us now why wasn't he good enough for us in July when he became a free agent? Instead we gambled on Kelvin being good enough and a kid with a season in L2 under his belt. When it soon became evident that we were lacking quality in this department we signed a player who is out of shape and match practice, instead of one that could have has a full preseason with us. I wonder sometimes if we have plan at all for the summer transfer window, or if we just trip over our signings...

Thedelldays Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 As said when he signed My Celtic supporting mate in Glasgow said he will be the best signing for us when he gets up to speed He is like a legend up there. He said he is a such a great keeper, just he needs to play constantly as he is one of those that athleticism does not come naturally He also said he is a nutjob
Window Cleaner Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 He also said he is a nutjob And thus you accept the odd incident as part of his character. What you get is what's on the label. Blokes like Boruc are like birds in a cage, if you take away his freedom of expression you take away what he is.

Window Cleaner Posted 2 November, 2012 Share Posted 2 November, 2012 The Polish Cantona? something like that, there are people with whom the ability goes with the character. Take for example Roy Keane at his best, he couldn't be Roy Keane without the odd scuffle or sending off. Many great talents in all domaines are the same. Got no problem with Boruc as long as he plays well and other members of the squad can appreciate his 'idiosyncracies'. The latter isnt always the case. I remember about 10 years ago an ex player saying all of the very top players of that type play 'on the edge' full of fire and aggression that from time to time will spill over but take that away and you have an average player. True but maybe that's part of the English disease -lot of f**kwits masking their limited ability with fire and aggression or assuming you have to be fiery and aggressive to be successful. Players have to be driven but I'd rather a player -Bergkamp, Yaya Toure who's icy cool any day.

Bergkamp had his problems though, he wouldn't fly so when they were in Turkey or whatever they just had to accept that he wasn't going to be playing for them. It's what i'm saying, you know what you're getting and you just have accept it. If the Arse had tried to impose plane flights on Bergkamp against his will he wouldn't have been the same player. Then we'll have to hope his teammates have got a bit more backbone to them than some of the wet flannels on here. God forbid we should have anyone with a bit of character in the team. Good on him for not putting up with a bunch of utter bell-pieces mocking and booing him with less than 2 games under his belt.

Right, club should show him the videos, get him to point them out and cancel their STs, if they were swearing at him there's every cause.
