Wade Garrett Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 His second game since The end of the last season and with only about 3 or 4 weeks training under his belt. He's a good keeper, at a good age. He'll come good once he settles. Not if he concentrates on the fans instead of the game he won't. I'd fine him for that alone. They're professionals for f*cks sake. Wade Garrett Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 Maybe if the tw*ts in Chapel put more energy into supporting the team and making some noise than mugging off our keeper we'd be doing a bit better, instead of sitting there silent for 80% of the game That would make a hell of a difference wouldn't it. lloydie Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 If you think a keeper reacting like this is clever then you are dumber than I thought you were, and that is saying something. You're a moron. For what its worth it shows he cares about his performances if he's frustrated about how he's going so far, he knows he can do better. If he reacts by throwing a bottle at a plastic advertising board who cares? More importantly its worrying to note how many helmets are at games giving abuse to players, starting facebook groups against guly, etc! Where were they a couple of years ago in league 1?! aintforever Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 Good on him for giving a bit back. We've got too many helmets inside SMS who get on players backs. It's his second game FFS. The best thing to do is not get on players backs and concentrate on getting behind the team. The divs are the ones like you crying about it. Fair play to the lad. Yeah, because reacting like that is really going to get the fans on his side. You dumb f*ck.
manji Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 It obviously wound up some of our fans though which isn't the cleverest thing to do. Would hardly expect a f*ckwit like you to understand though. So our mongy fans were hurling personal abuse at him but he shouldnt wind up the delicate flowers. Did they have an attack of the vapours ? Hopefully the stewards had plenty of smelling salts available.

Restark19 Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 (edited) That would make a hell of a difference wouldn't it. Yes, see generally insulting players would be detrimental to their performance/confidence, sitting there silent, whilst better than being a c*nt is definitely not as good as getting behind your side and supporting the team. A couple of the lads have already said this season that it helps the players when the fans are making positive noise Edited 28 October, 2012 by Restark19
Kelly Smunt Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 I thought the fans booing Boruc were brain dead nobs, didn't think he was really at fault for the goal. If the morons were consistent then surely they should have been booing and abusing Clyne for his inept defending for their first goal.

Singeon Sears Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 So as far as i can ascertain from the various "apparantly's" "this is what i heard" "this is what i thought i saw" brigade Borac stands accused of throwing/kicking a plastic bottle at-------the advertising boards? I guess this is becuase Boruc replaced Gazzinga - in my opinion the right decision; aren't we crying out for some experience? And to think this was the guy's home debut, maybe a bit of support for him wouldn't be too much to ask....

What you described is just the nature of football fans everywhere. There is always a percentage of thickos, you just have to check out this thread to see that. colehillsaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 Nothing like a good old sweeping generalisation is there... I've sat in the Chapel since we moved to SMS and the majority are good natured people who are thoughtful about their football. chi saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 I'll ask again... What if the person that was apparently "hit" had nothing to do with it? So what if he/she got hit? Did they sustain an injury? Did they turn to try to quieten down those mongs hurling abuse at him? if not then they are as much to blame surely. Personally I thought he was at fault certainly for the first and possibly the second. Still can't think of a worse thing to do to a player on the pitch in any match unless of course your that warped and your trying undermine his confidence further, which would be perverse in the extreme. So in answer to your question, that person 'struck' should question themselves, if they were one of the cuplirts they deserve it, if not then they should have prevented it!!! Look, the fans should not have been abusing him, I totally agree. It's stupid and not in the essence of supporting a club. St_Tel49 Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 Go ahead. judge him on 2 games why don't you. CanadaSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 I thought last week's change was unnecessary and came just as the defence was starting to look a little more settled. But now it's done, it's done and we should stick with him. I certainly wouldn't blame Boruc for the first - it was a fee header that was so well-placed that it started off going wide before the sidespin brought it back. However, I thought he over-committed badly on the second and ended up in keeper's no mans land.

Does that not suggest to you, that he is not ready to play in the prem for us though ? I doubt Gazza was commanding the penalty area. He is good on jumping, good on a line and with reflexes, great distribution, but he is lacking communication with his defence. he does not communicate enough with the cbs, he MUST to do. Pole is doing that. and he is more experienced in all the aspects of a commanding in the area. Just need to get match fitness. Hope he does it sooner rather than later. John Boy Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Share Posted 28 October, 2012 If you cant support the team go home and wash the car At half time it did cross my mind as it looks like I have been rallying in it. Sorry but the bloke is crap, I would far rather have a slightly green with little fear nipper in between the sticks with good distribution than someone who stands far too long on the line and very little communication with the defence. regarding the bottle incident he could have done better to prevent the goal, it was out of order throwing the bottle. But for the Über fans slagging us in the Chapel, Boruc collected the ball in th box and the majority in the chapel and the Chapel end of Kingsland sarcastically clapped and cheered to which he Clapped back. Those planks who say "give him a few games" wake up we ain't a charity there was nowt wrong with Gazza except a crap defence in front of him.
