MOSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Huge let off for us, Leeds just missed a sitter. Open goal 1.5 yds out according to R5LXtra
Viking Warrior Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I come onto a match thread and just total negativity . Well done to those that have gone to the match . Just get behind the team and club and stop this negativity . Okay incoming negative missiles coming my way
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Oh dear - sounds like we're struggling already - not heard anything from our strikers.
mulletsaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. The voice of doom. You didn't spot we only played two days ago too did you?
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Oh dear - sounds like we're struggling already - not heard anything from our strikers. Sounds fairly even to me. I've heard Guly mentioned a lot, Mayuka mentioned a fair bit, Chaplow and Lee mentioned probably once each.
Saints foreva Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Why are we the only team who played on Sunday that are playing tonight? Spurs, United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all playing tomorrow. May have influenced the team selection.
mulletsaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Feel sorry for those that have taken a half day, paid good money, for us to turn out a team to lose! I'm sure most of those that travelled would have been intelligent enough to realise what was likely to happen.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Oh boy, I hate Warnock so much it's not healthy.
Cascadia Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 "Tadanari Lee, it went straight through his foot...." Sounds like a horrible injury there.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Sounds fairly even to me. I've heard Guly mentioned a lot, Mayuka mentioned a fair bit, Chaplow and Lee mentioned probably once each. Ah but that was AFTER I posted surely? (; Actually...how many corners have Leeds had?
Nexstar Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Why are we the only team who played on Sunday that are playing tonight? Spurs, United, Chelsea and Liverpool are all playing tomorrow. May have influenced the team selection. Leeds are playing Friday night, so we lost out on that battle.
VectisSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 And you would have doubtless been the first to moan if the likes of Morgan and Lallana etc played and got a knock. He would have been the first to moan full stop. I love the way the man describes our players as nobodys. Chambers and Stephens, called up for England U19s, clearly nobodys.
Saint Scott Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Reading are beating Arsenal 3-0 after 20 minutes!
Jonnyboy Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Yorkshire taters - "Julie looks knackered already!" lols.
SNSUN Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Applause to the Saints fans that have gone, but we'd be better out of this competition. The team's full of reserves because Adkins obviously sees it that way too. I still think it's a good team, I've been interested to see how Reeves gets on at left back because I don't trust Fox. Great to see Lee back.
Saint Fan CaM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I wonder how many poor Arse supporters have travelled along the M4? LOL
MOSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Sounds like when we go forward and put balls into the box that are cleared, we aren't winning the second ball.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Never mind that, look at Reading's pathetic team-sheet:
hasper57saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Anyone notice Gazza's on the bench. Thought he'd gone pout on loan?
itchen_dan Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I wonder how many poor Arse supporters have travelled along the M4? LOL By watching on Sky it seems they have the whole of the end stand. They all look stunned lol!
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 He would have been the first to moan full stop. I love the way the man describes our players as nobodys. Chambers and Stephens, called up for England U19s, clearly nobodys. Quite. Our youth players won't get a chance if they don't, erm, get a chance. Tough decision whether to do it in the Mickey mouse cup or away at Man Utd in the prem.
mulletsaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 The quotes from Craig Burley on Varney's miss are priceless.
anothersaintinsouthsea Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Great description of Varney's miss from Craig Burley on 5live extra: "If you have never kicked a ball in your life, if that ball had fallen to you in that position I would have put money on you scoring."
THINWHITEDUKE Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Never mind that, look at Reading's pathetic team-sheet: Lol'd at Reading's 13th man!!!
Elmore Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Never mind that, look at Reading's pathetic team-sheet "Number 13 - Reading fans". Lol. Surprised the skates don't do that as well.
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Varney hits the cross bar after a poor back pass from Seaborne.
BotleySaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Only a matter of time if it keeps going like this. No surprise though as our team is totally changed!
Saints Fan Dan Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Off the crossbar! We're gonna win this!
S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 And that is why Dan Seaborne needs to be replaced.
Edmonton Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 what a confidence boost that will be for Reading, whilst we inevitably lose and continue our downward spiral. Ridiculous team selection and attitude towards our only chance of winning a trophy this season.
the wedge Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Doesn't sound a particularly great game or start from us. Hopefully we can grind out something here. Maybe like last season!
VectisSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Quite. Our youth players won't get a chance if they don't, erm, get a chance. Tough decision whether to do it in the Mickey mouse cup or away at Man Utd in the prem. Stephens and Chambers aren't even youth, they are 1st team squad, promoted in the Summer, too old for the youth teams now, so only options are u21 or the 1st team in cup games. Actually surprised they are not playing rather than on the bench.
Dr Who? Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Lol'd at Reading's 13th man!!! They are such bumkins!
Ken Tone Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Great description of Varney's miss from Craig Burley on 5live extra: "If you have never kicked a ball in your life, if that ball had fallen to you in that position I would have put money on you scoring." He was offside also by the way, according to Solent
S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Doesn't sound a particularly great game or start from us. Hopefully we can grind out something here. Maybe like last season! The tatters seem to think we've started very brightly, a good end to end cup game.
jawillwill Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 "Number 13 - Reading fans". Lol. Surprised the skates don't do that as well. Pompey would put them in the starting line-up rather than the bench.
Micky Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 what a confidence boost that will be for Reading, whilst we inevitably lose and continue our downward spiral. Ridiculous team selection and attitude towards our only chance of winning a trophy this season. Win a trophy, you is havin' a larf shorely - we are struggling to win a single game, never mind a trophy.....
Thedelldays Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 yet another defeat on the cards....we will lose by a few here....we have all the hallmarks of a team on the very downward spiral... we will lose at WBA too.....
