S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I don't think it's that bad a team really. Loads of pace in that 11
Shroppie Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 That's 11 changes then. Standing outside Elland Road. This better be good.
Window Cleaner Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 @officialsaints: Saints team: K. Davis, Butterfield, Hooiveld ©, Seaborne, Reeves, Ward-Prowse, Chaplow, Guly, De Ridder, Mayuka, Lee. #saintsfc joke team then
Matthew Le God Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 My guess would be... Davis Butterfield Hooiveld Seaborne Reeves Ward-Prowse Chaplow De Ridder Do Prado Lee Mayuka joke team then Why is that a joke team? We are playing a Championship side, and using players with good Championship and international experience.
beatlesaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Surely Boruc needs some more game time to get his sharpness back if he is to be first choice keeper. This game would have been ideal.
Suhari Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 joke team then Que? Not our first 11, but joke? Grow up!
70's Mike Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Surely Boruc needs some more game time to get his sharpness back if he is to be first choice keeper. This game would have been ideal. Perhaps we want to win
S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Nice to see people getting hysterical over what was expected anyway.
Special K Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I'd have picked Boruc, because when one of their pikey fans runs on to give him a slap, he can bottle them.
DrunkenSaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Tbh i like the team although i'd prefer JRod upfront instead of Guly but still a nice team with lots of pace, hope Lee and Mayuka plays well and pushes for starting place for the weekend
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 That's a sensible line up. Those included all need a game. Reeves at LB will be interesting, as will seeing how Lee plays after his layoff. I'm glad to see a bench full of nippers too. Hopefully Hoskins and Sinclair can get some game time and show what they can do. It'll be interesting game. Goals galore I reckon and a narrow win.
Mattio Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I thought it was good news when he played at Stevenage but it's taken til now til we've seen him again...
trousers Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Who's the lad that's been banging them in for fun in the U18s this season? Would like to have seen him on the bench.
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I thought it was good news when he played at Stevenage but it's taken til now til we've seen him again... Who?
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Who's the lad that's been banging them in for fun in the U18s this season? Would like to have seen him on the bench. Seager. Hoskins and Sinclair deserve a chance ahead of him imo.
Matthew Le God Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Who's the lad that's been banging them in for fun in the U18s this season? Would like to have seen him on the bench. Ryan Seager He has the likes of Hoskins and Sinclair ahead of him for young strikers.
S-Clarke Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Seager is a great young talent, but it's best to let him carry on where he is for a while longer. I do like the look of him though, but remember....Mcgoldrick scored 45 goals in 1 season at that level before...!
Saint Garrett Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Likely to be lots of interchanging tonight between the front 4 seeing as though Lee, Mayuka and Guly can all play wide, in up top. It would be nice to get into the hat for the next round anyway!
mulletsaint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Que? Not our first 11, but joke? Grow up! Exactly. Also failing to acknowledge we only played two days ago. Even more reason to ring the changes.
JRM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 So just like palace in the 4th round last year we get to the 4th round of the cup and put out an even weaker team than we had in previous rounds. Same again I'm afraid 2-0 defeat on the cards.
JRM Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Exactly. Also failing to acknowledge we only played two days ago. Even more reason to ring the changes. They are professional sportsman who have a week until the next game , all we are doing is continuing our losing streak putting that team out.
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 They are professional sportsman who have a week until the next game , all we are doing is continuing our losing streak putting that team out. Couldn't disagree more. There's no point in having a squad and not using it. This is an opportunity for fringe players to stake a claim, which in turn could make other players raise their game.
hypochondriac Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Bit of a shame that we changed the entire team. Still it's not that important if we lose.
simo Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Interesting to see Reeves ahead of Shaw maybe hes taken his foot off the gas since his first team call up?
Colinjb Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 A chance for these boys to prove their worth. Excellent.
Matthew Le God Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Interesting to see Reeves ahead of Shaw maybe hes taken his foot off the gas since his first team call up? Or, Reeves is 4 years older than Shaw and Shaw has only just recovered from injury...
Hopkins Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Interesting to see Reeves ahead of Shaw maybe hes taken his foot off the gas since his first team call up? Maybe he's been injured and ill over the previous weeks and only just returned to training last week like Adkins said?
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Saints fans are in good voice, any idea how many are up there?
Matthew Le God Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Saints fans are in good voice, any idea how many are up there? Around 500.
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Around 500. Are the commentary team sat in amongst them? Sounds very loud for that many.
LatvianTolix Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 any working streams to listen to the game??? apart from saintsplayer?
alpine_saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke.
Dr Who? Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 I do not fancy our chances, just seen the team..... A near full strength Everton team lost to this lot!
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. Jesus christ. What's wrong with having faith in the youngsters, as Adkins clearly does?
hypochondriac Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. Lol@u.
Cascadia Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. What's the punchline?
Dr Who? Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Feel sorry for those that have taken a half day, paid good money, for us to turn out a team to lose!
stug76 Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. - that's the spirit!
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Feel sorry for those that have taken a half day, paid good money, for us to turn out a team to lose! Yes, that's exactly what's happened.
Cascadia Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Ah... the match thread... I've missed you, old friend.
Cascadia Saint Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 (edited) Yes, that's exactly what's happened. Fact! Edited 30 October, 2012 by Cascadia Saint
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Guly is actually playing in his proper position for once, he was playing out of position when on the wing or up front. (Not that I don't think he's done well in those positions).
egg Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 11 changes, and nobodys on the bench. F**king joke. And you would have doubtless been the first to moan if the likes of Morgan and Lallana etc played and got a knock. Do you not see the benefit of keeping fringe players sharp, resting the regulars and giving youth a chance?
Saints Fan Dan Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Easy chance missed for Leeds, could we be seeing a repeat of last seasons game?
Gingeletiss Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Are the commentary team sat in amongst them? Sounds very loud for that many. Above them.
Saint_clark Posted 30 October, 2012 Posted 30 October, 2012 Luke Varney misses from 4 yards, Leeds fans thought it was in. Offside anyway.
