saint lard Posted 20 November, 2008 Posted 20 November, 2008 Jan and Wotte plus two players will be at the Freemantle pub,Paynes Rd,Shirley, next Thursday.http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/3862560.Chance_to_have_a_pint_with_Poortvliet/,next
Deppo Posted 20 November, 2008 Posted 20 November, 2008 I might actually go. Did'nt know anything about the Osborne 'gig' until I read the Echo this afternoon. Apparently Wotte plays the spoons.
ottery st mary Posted 20 November, 2008 Posted 20 November, 2008 I would invite them down to The Golden Lion in Tipton St John but I might have to hold back the four members of The Honiton Branch Saints Supporters Club who are revolting and want Jp and Wotte to run the youth club and a proper coach to takeover first team duties..Maybe I could organise a bus trip up to The Freemantle...then again the cider is better down here.
Fowllyd Posted 20 November, 2008 Posted 20 November, 2008 I might actually go. Did'nt know anything about the Osborne 'gig' until I read the Echo this afternoon. Apparently Wotte plays the spoons. With Poortvliet on washboard that could be quite a combo. Personally though, I'd rather go and see the legendary (in my little world, anyway) Bob Pearce. Interesting that it's being pre-advertised this time; wonder how many will be there (and how big the pub is, come to that)...

Careful. They might read that and take offence.
ottery st mary Posted 20 November, 2008 Posted 20 November, 2008 Careful. They might read that and take offence. I have told them all this same fact, many times and I have told them to put all the fences back and don't burn all your bridges...By the way down here they can't read. All these above mentioned points also apply to our dynamic duo, just incase I have read your post the wrong way...Cheers Badger for the heads up though.

Saint Billy Posted 21 November, 2008 Posted 21 November, 2008 It would be more intersting if it was Lowe and Wilde.
Wade Garrett Posted 21 November, 2008 Posted 21 November, 2008 I wonder if JP is just touting for his next footballing job, at a level more suited to his ability and experience.
chocco boxo Posted 21 November, 2008 Posted 21 November, 2008 I wonder if JP is just touting for his next footballing job, at a level more suited to his ability and experience. Can see Jan running Eastleigh soon or is that another job too big for him?
Roman Posted 21 November, 2008 Posted 21 November, 2008 It would be more intersting if it was Lowe and Wilde. And interesting that it never is. JP deserves credit for getting out there and talking to people. He seems to enjoy it by all accounts.

If you can get them down to the arse hole of england I will come along for a pint. I am 1 of the few that actually likes what they are trying to do while still being on the fence of thinking that they can actually achieve what thier plan. Edited 21 November, 2008 by saintjay77
Topcat Posted 21 November, 2008 Posted 21 November, 2008 I would rather he spent his time focused on creating a team that goes out and wins. I do not need him spending time with people in pubs, we tried that with Burley.
