Since he never played for Blackburn, that conversation probably never took place. We signed him from Chelsea.

A mate of mine had a couple of seasons playing alongside Dixon when he was player coach at Hitchin Town.

 

Apparently he's got a terrible gambling problem and had blown all his money from his playing days. He'd had his car repossessed and was driving around in a red Nissan Micra at the time.

I got a letter back, a signed photo and an invitation to join the Kerry Dixon fan club. I still have th picture somewhere along with my signed picture of Mark Wright, the ex Saints player not the knob from TOWIE.
