Graffito Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 what do you mean...why couldnt they use this nous or know to win at bristol city..or at home to cardiff last season..or finish in the top 2..? what is premier league "nous or know"? No idea mate. What do you think?
Thedelldays Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 No idea mate. What do you think? I have no idea...hence why I am not suggesting they have something I dont know exists..
Graffito Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 I have no idea...hence why I am not suggesting they have something I dont know exists.. LOL. That makes two of us then ...I think.
Turkish Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 Remains to be seen. It's a long season. I posted my opinion already. They did of course play with only 10 men for 80 mins against us up there last season.
Graffito Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 They did of course play with only 10 men for 80 mins against us up there last season. Correct. They played quite well in that match as I mentioned above.
The Kraken Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 If you saw the match you'd know we gifted it to them. I readily admit I don't watch them regularly as I'm generally watching Saints though I did see them live in a couple of matches the season before last as I've lived in London for over 30 years and have West Ham supporting mates. Wasn't impressed with those games either but we're going back a couple seasons there so probably not fair to judge. Do you watch them much live? No more than others, no. I can't really remember watching them much this season, to be honest.
thegaffer Posted 25 October, 2012 Posted 25 October, 2012 West Ham are back where they believe they belong and have the players in the squad that have been in the prem before and know whats needed to grind out results. Our squad is very lightweight in prem experience, and im not sure enough of our players understand when you make mistakes in the prem you get punished with no second chances.West Ham also have a stronger player bond this season and work ethic.

St.Jeweller Posted 26 February, 2013 Posted 26 February, 2013 well what a difference a few months a a few wins for us can make, still loving the Andy Carroll vid ^^^
Saint Garrett Posted 27 February, 2013 Posted 27 February, 2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ykSHPZjbocQ#! Can't believe I've only just seen that - awesome!!!
Saint Garrett Posted 27 February, 2013 Posted 27 February, 2013 I would have James Collins over any of our centre halves. Still?!
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 27 February, 2013 Posted 27 February, 2013 Still?! Maybe not now (although ahead of Jos) but at the time the point certainly stood which was get CB's in with Premier League experience. The failure to do this and at GK cost us a plethora of points early in the Season. I also find it strange the over-confidence of people on here, it feels like people think we're already safe. It's 4 points guys...
david in sweden Posted 27 February, 2013 Posted 27 February, 2013 As the club thats our closest likeness in terms of being newly promoted and a similar sized fan fanbase, Cortese will no doubt be making comparisons. They haven't spent quite as much as us but seem to have got the basics so much better than saints. What do you see is the primary reason: 1) Transfers, they built from the back and invested in the defence first with physical strong players.......Do you mean rugged, less skilful players ..if so YES 2) They have solid experience in Sam, he knows whats needed in this league. SAM ! Experienced .YES / NO ?......at this level he's not much better than whoever . you like . 3) Their direct Style is much more effective than saints and they utilise it. Questionable .....is there a big difference in goal tally ? 4) They can adapt formation better and have a plan B Do we have a Plan B ?...and is it better than their plan A? 4) you own reasons .........Maybe they've had a bit more " luck " or whatever you call it .and a few more penalty decisions in their favour, but the season isn't over yet. I think we'll finish above them. Do you think West-ham are currently in a false position and will be brought down to reality? fair play to them for their achievements so far oooooooo
