Ally Biggs Posted 25 October, 2012 Share Posted 25 October, 2012 It's been 8 games people, Still early days I have faith that Adkins will come through the team has a few players out injured, Cork, Ramirez will make a difference. Also Luke Shaw is worth a go at left? I feel bad for Adkins he Has done a fantastic job the last two seasons for us are people forgetting this? His past accomplishments of double promotions, I think at least merit him a chance to have a Season of Premiership football. The starting fixtures have been very tough Man City, Manchester United at times we outplayed both of them, The potential obviously is there, Adkins has vision sure he has made a few tactical issues, It's a learning curve for everyone but the last thing him and the team need are the fans turning against them. Morale probably isn't the best at the moment so instead of bashing the team and manager we as fans need to get behind them and give them some belief. Takes a while for teams to establish themselves in the Prem it wont happen after eight games, Keep the faith And whoever suggested Harry Redknapp should return clearly needs to be shot lol

Takes a while for teams to establish themselves in the Prem it wont happen after eight games, Keep the faith And whoever suggested Harry Redknapp should return clearly needs to be shot lol Just finished watching, Have watched every game this season and that was embarrassing, I'm not going to sit here and defend Adkins yes he did a fantastic job getting us back to back promotions, But clearly at this level he is out of his depth. Sure you can sit here and defend him and wait for him to turn things around we can't afford to wait. Are defenders are not up to the job and are opposition know this. Players who I don't Rate Fox I think he is useless lose count of the amount of times he gets skimmed, Hoovied clear out his depth this level, Fonte has shaky moments. Rodriguez? maybe one for the future but 6 Million for him? hasn't really done alot for us yet and I think money would of been better spend on players with Prem Experience which is something we are lacking and it's coming back to bite us in the ass. If we don't sort this out soon only one place we will be heading and it's not Europe lol and we will have the record goals scored against us now that is a going to be a bitter pill to swallow. Bring in Redknapp he knows this league and has the capabilities to get players in Everyone on the get Adkins out train need to shut up and sit the f**K down, Give the man a chance It's been 8 games, half of these were against decent teams did you really think the likes of us would beat Man United or City or Everton hell even Wigan and Fulham have been in this league and know the ins and out and know how to put pressure on and turn it on when required. Yes some of our players are not up to it, Fox is useless, And our two central defenders are iffy. But rather then put Adkins down we as fans need to get behind him and give him a chance he has a vision for this club. Rodriguez obviously is a buy for a future, get sharp back off lone and put him up front with Lambert. Keeper situation you need stability and rotating the keeps week in week out isn't going to do that. Harry Redknapp? really? pfffffffft I would rather have Adkins anyday of the week give the man a chance he will come through in the end worst case scenario we go down, is that really a big deal? parachute payments, Sell Ramirez keep Adkins we will be back stronger, people need to stop being a bunch of *****es and the real saints fans need to support and get behind the team and Adkins nuff sed

Ally Biggs Posted 25 October, 2012 Author Share Posted 25 October, 2012 Those were my initial jump on the bandwagon thoughts lol but I do think Adkins needs a chance that is the most sensible option biringing in a new manager what would that do? upset harmony, team would need to adjust further and after all he would have the same set of players until the jan transfer window

derry Posted 25 October, 2012 Share Posted 25 October, 2012 Adkins was my first choice as a replacement for Pardew at the time. He has all in all done a terrific job. This year was always going to be difficult so the very least that should happen is to give him the time to turn it around. I don't like some of the things he does but he is the one that has to do the job. If the worst happens there is nobody better to manage us in the Championship but I hope it won't come to that. Deano6 Posted 25 October, 2012 Share Posted 25 October, 2012 Am I the only one who isn't really that bothered if we get relegated this season so long as we give it a good shot, and would rather keep Adkins for the long term? Staying up this season was always going to be a tall order, and I'd hate to have the unity and stability we have established over the last 2 and a bit years to be pulled apart by a bit of short-termist panic moves to make change for change's sake. For me if we stay up, brilliant, if not we take the parachute payments and have another go in a few years when we are better prepared. The league doesn't "end" this year and we need to think about the next few years after this one. We f*cked up not buying better defenders. We not have to live by that til Christmas by which time we will have dropped too many points to stay up. Move on. Learn from it. Think about the next hand, but don't go chasing good money after bad. supersonic Posted 25 October, 2012 Share Posted 25 October, 2012 I can't believe people are saying they dot care if we get relegated this season? Where's the ambition in that? Lambert would go, Lallana would go, Ramirez would go, any other half decent performer would leave. We've have taken one step forwards (in getting promoted last year) and then 2 massive steps back (getting relegated and seriously weakens team)

Life's about different views. I'm a Saints Season Ticket for years etc, etc but because I think its time for NA to go I am not a real fan? I'm fed up with his team selections and bizzare subs. I do however agree that we should give Shaw a chance.

Adkins has already cost us 11 points with poor tactics. I think the PL is a step too far too soon for him. Hope I'm proved wrong, but I haven't seen much to disprove my point so far. And in regards to being relegated, we'd lose Lambert, Lallana, Ramirez, Schneiderlin, Cork, Pucheon and probably a few fringe players.
