Really ?

If it wasnt for the relegation debarcle and if Adkins wasnt here Id bit your hand of if I was offered Redknapp. Plays good football, good motivator and has pedigree.

WE already play good football and NA is a good motivator but I am not aware of Rednapp's pedigree. What is it please, apart from bankrupting clubs, taking them down and off shore deals with Mandy?

taking spurs to the 1/4 of the CL

taking Pompey from the middle of the championship to 9th in the Premier League and FA Cup winners

Taking Bournemouth to their highest position ever

Taking West Ham to their second highest positon ever.

Other than that, not much.

100% this.

I don't want him at Saints because I can't stand him.

But he is clearly is a very good football manager.

It seems to have gone quiet on the Sandbanks front. The clue last time was when he kept appearing in the Echo on charity events in Souithampton. I understand he still supports them. We will see. I still think a chant that Redknapp is a w***r would go down well at QPR - their fans would join in. I am going I will start it

Rooney - why did you bother to bite ???

Dont you realise that when the 3 trolls get together they are on a wind up mission? Troll 1 decides he can be bothered to write something good about Red k rapp on a "mong board" so troll 2 stops serving dinners to the sailor boys and supports troll 1 and then troll 3 joins in eager to show that despite his arrogance he is really as thick as pig's shidte.

Its the way that the 3 of them get their kicks. Just feel sorry for them and move on - don't take their bait.

He's a very good fit for QPR. Hughesy is a deadman walking, another reason to take 3 points of the 'Mush from Shepherds Bush. Bush-bush-bush-bush', Rodders.

The ITKs say its nailed on, anything less that 3 points and he takes over.

Im hoping for a draw just to get rid of him, 6 wins in 10 months. Even Arry is preferable to Hughes.

Well if it is 'onest-arry' at least he'll be spending money the club actually has this time unlike his time on portsea island.

Then the sooner Hughes gets himself in another job the better, just so if NA did get the boot he'd be another dud out of the replacement equation.

Why is it trolling that I disagree that Harry Redknapp isn't a crap manager and point out some FACtS to support this? Just, because you dont like it doesn't make it untrue. Unless now anyone that disagree with anything is a troll in the eyes of the forum police. There are a dozen reasons why Redknapp should not be Saints manager, because He's crap isn't one of them.

Agreed he isn't crap but neither is his record that great either in regards to his spending to league position ratio as a poster some time ago showed us the stats. Take away the option to spend money like its going out of fashion and he's distinctly average at best. The main reason for me not to appoint Harry is he has the loyalty of a prossie on heat he would leave us the second a top six offer came in plus he publically stated he didn't want to be here the last time!

ime!

We've been through this before and that is nonsense. His net spend at Spirs was something like £10m and they finished 4th 5th and 4th. Compare that to Martin O'Neill at Villa who had a net spend of over £60m for 3 consecutive 6th placed finishes. It'd a myth people peddle to prove Redknapp isn't a very capable manager. Name one club that has broken into and finished in the top 4 or 5 consistently that hasn't spent money.

Why did Spurs get rid?

This is not a question to suggest that if he's not good enough for Spurs then he's not good enough for us but a genuine question. Given all the facts in his favour it does make you wonder why they sacked him.

They sacked him because he made it clear he would have walked if he'd got the England job after previously pledging his future to them

Plus - he scoffed and vilified the worth of sports science when he was here before (so our expensive sports science set up at the training ground might go a little underused), and I bet he and our 'director of football' would have an interesting professional relationship. 'arry's face would be a picture. How long would it take before rumours started of someone else picking his team and dictating the style of play? Is he the type to get on with NC?

I can't see it.

Utter nonsense. Turkish has only said what most people believe, which is that redknapp is a good manager who knows his stuff. I cant stand him myself (redknapp, not turks,) and wouldn't want to see him anywhere near St Marys, (redknapp, not turks,) unless its to rip the plss out of him (redknapp, not turks,) when whoever he's managing plays here, but its laughable to deny that he is a decent manager. His record shows that, and one awful season with us doesnt make his managerial career a failure.

Probably because he blew something like a 12 point gap they had over Arsenal which would have secured Champions League football and was utterly clueless without the likes of VDV and Bale.

Nobody can count that high.

In fact his net spends are suprisingly low. I've certainly posted up a link to the exact figures before. May try to find it again later.

I was told by someone that spoke to Levy...Harry thought he was getting the England job, he just lost interest, had nothing to do with reserves, academy or youth.

He was only interested in the England job not Spurs which p1ssed off Levy who looked around for a replacement and decided to get rid regardless if he got job or not.

To be fair, it shouldn't need to have been confirmed by a source to see that was the case. Redknapp quite obviously lost all focus at Tottenham, and was constantly trumpetting the fact that he saw his future away from the football club. As a chairman you simply can't let that slide; especially so after it led to them bungling a Champions League place from a previous huge lead. Once Redknapp publically announced himself as a candidate for the England job and continued to whore himself around for it so often, it was clear that he'd have to leave Spurs one way or the other.

Eloquent and accurate. The voice of reason from Kraken. (again.)

It actually came up in a conversation with many others in the room about would we take him back at Saints so not really my source just thought I would throw it into this thread.

I'll assume you are referring to me above.

You're saying what I have written below is "trolling"? Seriously? It reads to me, if anything, a pretty anodyne bit of accepted knowledge.

But yeah, I'm the thick one here...

...and hilariously, you've picked a topic me, TDD and Turdish(LOL) don't even agree on. I don't want Redknapp here under any circumstances.

Jolly well done on your little rant though.

Do you want the team to stay in the premier league thats the question HR is the only person who could it from the mess Adkins has got us in

You're so right. I will never forgive Adkins for what he has done to us. If only Harry would come back and pick up where he left off before he was poached.

The loss of form coincided when Redknapp changed his tactics. Where Bale was set a more central role and also (to a lesser impact) didn't rotate his squad enough to keep them fit for the demands of the fixtures they had at that time.

No need for sarcasm. He has a point, name one manager available and realistic who has better credentials.

You're right, I'm sorry lowest form of wit and all that. I shall try to follow your example in future. The trouble is I know jack about football, which is why I ask are only unemployed english managers realistic? Honest question.
