Crouchie's Lawyer Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 Only the welsh... Now if the dog was seen squatting, curling out a long one, while Charlton was lining up his shot, that would be funny TV!
Robsk II Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 Can ANYONE get a tiny bit of perspective about this whole "PC" crap? This has sweet f*ck all to do with PC. It's just mindless idiot bueraucrats with nothing better to do thatn be petty and moronic.
Hatch Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 Using their logic, you could complain about every advert ever seen on TV for one reason or another.
St Landrew Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 Yes, absolute nonsense. Presumably, if the scenario of walking the dog was removed from the advert, these same councillors would have been complaining of unaccompanied kids being shown to be conversing with a stranger. It's pathetic clap-trap.
Pancake Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 When I saw the BBC article heading, I assumed they had complained as he was an English footballer and not Welsh!

Nope.....Only the British!.....The whole island is totally over run with it.....Even most the peeps who complain about it today will be just as guilty of something similar tomorow....As they were yesterday PC idiocy and the subsequent *****ing just goes round in a big circle. Robsk II Posted 20 November, 2008 Share Posted 20 November, 2008 it just doesn't. It's not about offending different minorities or anything, it's just about busy-bodying council fools.
Wiltshire Saint Posted 21 November, 2008 Share Posted 21 November, 2008 My little brother was blinded by dog poo whilst playing football over our local park. He was 8 at the time. A whole life thrown away because people walked their dogs in a childrens play area. It wouldn't surprise me if some of those dog walkers were famous. It is a serious matter and I am surprised that this thread has been allowed to continue in the Lounge. Either delete this thread, as it is offensive, or move it to TMS. Your brother had a terrible accident, but that doesnt mean you cant walk a dog round the side of a football pitch.

notnowcato Posted 21 November, 2008 Share Posted 21 November, 2008 I'm offended by the stereotyping on this advert... northern bloke, flat cap, greyhound! Just shouldn't be allowed in this day and age. Hope he didn't have a packet of sweets and a cheeky smile..
