Webby Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 It'll probably be.. Boruc Clyne --- Fonte -- Maya -- Fox Morgan -- Davis Punch -- Lallana -- Jrod Lambert but the '3' are too attack minded to protect the midfield and back 4
Pamplemousse Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Looks remarkably 4-4-2 like team, or possibly 4-2-3-1. I assume the order of the team does not reflect their positions in any way, I prefer Morgan in MF to defence :-) It's ordered by squad number (apart from Boruc who as the GK they've put first)
bpsaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Good to have Lambert back, hope Boruc has been laying off the Sausages and Tyskie after last weeks effort.
Badger Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 After his edgy first match at West Ham, I thought Boluck might have given way for Gazzaniga who has looked more commanding in goal so far. I hope Rodriguez is up front rather than in a wide position where he can easily disappear from the game.
The Kraken Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 far too open AGAIN imo.... What would you have chosen instead?
DrunkenSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Oh great just saw the line up, we're screwed, Jrod out of position again, fox not very good defensive. If we're playing a 442 should of started with Mayuka for his pace not Jrod.
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Hmm I'm looking at their line up and whilst it's good, it's not anywhere near as good as it could have been. No Adebayor, no Dembele. Anyone fancy us to give it to Huddlestone in the midfield today? Or Rickie to dominate their defence? Got a bit more hope than I had before. Just need Mr Fox to keep Bale quiet which if I'm honest isn't going to happen is it?
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 4-4-1-1 with Jrod furthest forward...
RobM Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 4-4-1-1 with Jrod furthest forward... That's how I've read it.
hypochondriac Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 At least it looks a bit better than against West Ham. Still can't see why Gazza was dropped and why we won't play Mayuka.
The Kraken Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 At least it looks a bit better than against West Ham. Still can't see why Gazza was dropped and why we won't play Mayuka. Gazza's not even on the bench; its Kelvin. Agree about the Copper Bullet.

Agreed, on the left he looks out of place and it comes across as if he's being shoehorned into the side. Much rather have Lallana out left and JWP in the middle tbh
Thedelldays Posted 28 October, 2012 Author Posted 28 October, 2012 What would you have chosen instead? 3 x CMs in the middle of the park and put lambert up on his own....
RobM Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 3 x CMs in the middle of the park and put lambert up on his own.... I think we're going to need width today, to count Spurs and to make the most of the fact Friedel doesn't like claiming crosses. Back post here we come...

Smirking_Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bale plays down the left so itll be Clynes job
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Snap his ankle in the first minute. Sorted. Nice one Badger. Wish you were out there today with that attitude :-)
Golac's Cunning Stunts Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bale plays down the left so itll be Clynes job Yeah you're right. What happened in that Scotland Wales game? I seem to remember Bale up against Fox?
Hamilton Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Fox injured in the warm-up? Someone has tweeted that to Adam.
sunrise Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 I won't be surprised if Spuds score 3 or more past us, in any case, if we lose, I think it's goodbye Adkins.
The Kraken Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Fox injured in the warm-up? Someone has tweeted that to Adam. Oh Christ. Reeves is the only genuine option if that's true.
MOSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Yes, Reeves at LB if Fox is out. Yoshi is not a LB and Hooiveld is the biggest liability at CB.
Liquidshokk Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Highlight already was Yoshida launching his "kick it out" t shirt into the crowd with it wrappin round some blokes bonce... I don't expect to take any other highlights away today............
Liquidshokk Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Fox injured in the warm-up? Someone has tweeted that to Adam. looked ok when he came off
Hamilton Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 looked ok when he came off Hope so; the tweet came from someone seated near the incident - physio was treating him, apparently.
RobM Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Hope so; the tweet came from someone seated near the incident - physio was treating him, apparently. Could be a sign he isn't 100% fit, rather than being injured in the warm up. Fingers crossed he is OK, as even though I don't rate him, he is at least a LB.
