sandwichsaint Posted 27 October, 2012 Posted 27 October, 2012 OK, I have a spare for tomorrow, the usual ST holder is on a golf trip to Spain and a couple of peeps have messed me about this week. It is in block 39, good view and good atmosphere. I will be in the Alfred from 13-30 or you will need to meet me outside at 14-30. Face value (£35), pm me or post contact details if interested.
norwaysaint Posted 27 October, 2012 Posted 27 October, 2012 It's on TV here, surely somewhere over there must be showing it.
MOSaint Posted 27 October, 2012 Posted 27 October, 2012 I'm sure there will be a stream if it's being televised outside the UK.
CB Fry Posted 27 October, 2012 Posted 27 October, 2012 It's on TV here, surely somewhere over there must be showing it. It's only on the Sunday because of Spurs in the Europa, it is not a TV game so it will not be on TV. It will be on the online streams though so I will be watching it.
SaintNeil90 Posted 27 October, 2012 Posted 27 October, 2012 Every premier league game is streamed online. I have watched all the games I've not been able to go to at http://www.firstrowsports.eu
wessex saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 (edited) Bloody plastics buying tickets for games before I got mine :-( Wow... just wow! Edited 28 October, 2012 by wessex saint cant be assed with yet another plastics debate
Window Cleaner Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 It's on TV here, surely somewhere over there must be showing it. It's on Canal + Foot as well but at 19h30 so I'll listen in on Saints Player and then if we're any good I'll watch later.
Roger Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Any news on team? Is lambert playing and is gaston on bench?
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bloody plastics buying tickets for games before I got mine :-( Wow... just wow! Mong
Wade Garrett Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Any news on team? Is lambert playing and is gaston on bench? I would be amazed if Ricky didn't start today. Nigel would be cutting his own throat.
Raging Bull Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Any news on team? Is lambert playing and is gaston on bench? Pretty sure Gaston is still out I'm afraid.
KK the 2nd Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Betting has seen money for Saints and the Draw with the odds shortening with all bookies. Tottenham on the drift. Any reason, news? Maybe Spurs missing player(s)? Or Gaston back?
Thedelldays Posted 28 October, 2012 Author Posted 28 October, 2012 if we are going to play 433...we need to play with 3 x CMs IMO...no having anyone 'in the hole'..we are far too open and spurs will punish us for it when we did that against man u...we played brilliantly IMO

Did JWP do anything to deserve losing his starting place?
VectisSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bloody plastics buying tickets for games before I got mine :-( Wow... just wow! So glad you can't be assed, it was a tongue in cheek comment. Sense of humour failure on your part, like a few others on here.
VectisSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Mong It appears that you certainly are, well done for outing yourself.
Smirking_Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 It appears that you certainly are, well done for outing yourself. No probs
SNSUN Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 What I would like today is an emphatic win. A small win would do, heck I'd even be inclined to accept a draw, what with our leaky defence and Tottenham being far from the worst team ever to visit St Marys. A loss would be worrying but not the end of the world, as long as we can keep the score down. Contrary to pundits saying Spurs made good signings in the window, I actually think they lost a lot of quality. This is a winnable game as long as we're not too disheartened from last week's defeat. Tighten up at the back, stop the stupid mistakes and hope one or two of their better players have a mare, and we could grind something out. Heart says it's doable, head is being a bastard at present. Thankfully I'm working through most of this game so I won't be sat on the edge of my seat. (except I will but with riveting Oyster questions.)
Minsk Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 I woke up this morning with a good feeling abut today's match, but a little while ago my favourite Saints mug broke. Is it an omen or did the mug sacrifice itself in exchange for some points? I will decide what to do with the remains after the match.
alpine_saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bad feeling. Could be on for our worst defeat at SMS so far, with the consequent dispensing of mangerial services afterwards. Nervously awaiting the team sheet.

Thats the type of sacrifice for the good of Saints we should all aspire to.... Respect... COYR
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Why anyone would pick Hooiveld over Fonte is beyond me!
Saint Matty 76 Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Why anyone would pick Hooiveld over Fonte is beyond me! Need someone to deal with the height of Defoe.
Cheese on Toast Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 [ Wot no JRod No, I woudln't start him
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 I'd have Fonte on instead of Hooiveld at present as at least he scores in the right net!
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Need someone to deal with the height of Defoe. Clyne has him sorted!
Windmill Arm 2 Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bad feeling. Could be on for our worst defeat at SMS so far, with the consequent dispensing of mangerial services afterwards. Nervously awaiting the team sheet. You won't be there though will you, because you don't go to games and support the team, you just sit at your keyboard with a massive bag of donuts and type the same bedwetting shat day in day out zzzzzzzzz
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bad feeling. Could be on for our worst defeat at SMS so far, with the consequent dispensing of mangerial services afterwards. Nervously awaiting the team sheet. We will win today!
St Lej Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Bad feeling. Could be on for our worst defeat at SMS so far, with the consequent dispensing of mangerial services afterwards. Nervously awaiting the team sheet. What a surprise
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 hahahahahahhaaha Alps is that you as our pet resident Saints supporting Fraser (we're doomed of Dads Army fame) or is it something a lot worse smelling of fish?
Pamplemousse Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Jordan Sibley @jordansibley Lambert returns to the starting line-up for Saints today. Full line-up via @officialsaints shortly. #SaintsFC

Saint Matty 76 Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Tottenham team v Southampton: Friedel, Walker, Gallas, Caulker, Vertoghen, Sandro, Huddlestone, Dempsey, Lennon, Bale, Defoe
Saint Matty 76 Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Boruc, Clyne, Yoshida, Schneiderlin, Fonte, Lambert, S. Davis, Rodriguez, Fox, Lallana ©, Puncheon.
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Boruc, Clyne, Yoshida, Schneiderlin, Fonte, Lambert, S. Davis, Rodriguez, Fox, Lallana ©, Puncheon. Attacking line up by us we are going for it!
Webby Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Hmmm, that means Lallana in midfield, or, it means 442 which is unlikely cos we play 433
DrunkenSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 We'll need to be wary of them, and be really compact. Bale and Defoe have been scoring for fun recently and they've got some excellent attacking players. ------------------GAZZA-------------- CLYNE----FONTE-----JOS---MAYA ---------MORGAN----DAVIS-------- PUNCH-------LALLANA------GULY -----------------LAMBERT------------ Subs: Boruc, Fox, Seaborne, Chaplow, JWP, Mayuka, Rodriguez I really hope not, Guly is terrible and Maya isnt a left back. --------------Gazza------------ Clyne---- Fonte--Maya-----Shaw --------Morgan JWP Davis------- ------Lallana--------Punch------ -------------Lambert----------- More of a 433 formation, yes less attacking but a bit more defensive but it's what we need, 1-0 victory is just as good as 4-3
Saint Without a Halo Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 4-4-2 maybe? 433 with Lambert playing as an attacking midfielder just off Jay Rod maybe?
VectisSaint Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 Looks remarkably 4-4-2 like team, or possibly 4-2-3-1. I assume the order of the team does not reflect their positions in any way, I prefer Morgan in MF to defence :-)
The Kraken Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 433 with Lambert playing as an attacking midfielder just off Jay Rod maybe? Lambert shouldn't play anywhere but the main striking role IMO. Wasted anywhere else. We played pretty much this formation against Fulham as a 442; wouldn't be surprised to see it again. Rodriguez simply isn't a winger.
shurlock Posted 28 October, 2012 Posted 28 October, 2012 (edited) 4-4-2: same formation as against Fulham. Somw on here have really swallowed the horsesh*t that we only play one way. It wasn't true last week - its not true today. Dont be so gullible. Edited 28 October, 2012 by shurlock
