Saint Garrett Posted 26 October, 2012 Share Posted 26 October, 2012 (edited) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20048383 Lawro has gone for a 2-0 defeat...that must be the most common prediction he's made this season. And looks like someones been snooping on the forum! http://www.tottenblog.com/2012/10/spurs-are-in-different-universe-to-us.html Edited 26 October, 2012 by Saint Garrett
Maggie May Posted 26 October, 2012 Share Posted 26 October, 2012 We'll lose but it won't be heavy. Perhaps a late 1-0. I think there will be more emphasis on defence but we'll lack fire power up front. I wouldn't be surprised to see Lambert dropped again for J-Rod. benjii Posted 26 October, 2012 Share Posted 26 October, 2012 Gaston, Cork, Frazer still injured, Fox and Shaw resumed training today. Sounds like Yoshi at LB again then....GULP! I would sooner play Butterfield at RB and Clyne at LB than have Yoshida out there again. I have been impressed with him at CB but not at all at full-back. I have been impressed with him at CB but not at all at full-back. Or at least play Hooiveld at the left and Yoshida in the middle, so we're more solid in the middle, and at least Hooiveld would be less likely to score an own goal.. However, it also says Luke Shaw is in line for his first start .... so may be conjecture all round.

VectisSaint Posted 26 October, 2012 Share Posted 26 October, 2012 I'm hearing Gaston could be a sub against spurs. He was certainly involved in training, and can be seen playing, not just light training. NA said Lee was back in training today, when clearly he has been training for some time. He also mentioned Fox had been out with hamstring, thought it was a groin.

captainchris Posted 26 October, 2012 Share Posted 26 October, 2012 To be fair, the only info we really get is the pre match interviews which are taking place today I think. Why would NC have anything to say in regards to this game ?! I take your point but I wasn't intimating that NC should talk before this game particularly - just more often......generally...However preferable more from the manager and staff - playing or coaching... So are Cork and Richardson. Fox, Shaw and Lee all training -Lee being closest to match fitness.

shurlock Posted 27 October, 2012 Share Posted 27 October, 2012 After watching NA's interview, I think Rickie will start the majority of home games while J-Rod is more likely to start away Which you can make a half-decent case for. Obviously if Rickie has an excellent home game, you wouldn't drop him for the following away game. Likewise if Jrod plays poorly, you wouldn't rigidly stick with him but on paper he fits a counter attacking system better than Lambert.

VectisSaint Posted 27 October, 2012 Share Posted 27 October, 2012 or a defeat and we will start to get cut adrift of 14-15th place No, a defeat will leave us in exactly the same position as we are now (apart from a worse GD and 1 game less to play). Do you consider we are already cut adrift? I think we will lose tomorrow, but was just pointing out a fact, that the margins are still very small between the bottom and the middle of the league. It really wouldn't surprise me to see Ramirez and Lee on the bench for tomorrow. I can't make up my mind whether I want Fox to be fit or not :-) Really ****ed off actually to be missing the game, and with it not on TV either.
