trousers Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 This is Fulham first half all over again...just need a decent 2nd half to follow it up
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 WHU look rattled. Wouldn't quite go that far. Our final ball is letting them off every time so far but they don't look especially worried. Tomkins injured.... his knee.
suewhistle Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Well, touch wood, tocca ferro, but we're the better team at the moment even if we haven't been so good in the last third. Plenty of movement and possession.
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 poor challenge by Clyne, lost that one Guly cleared the free kick. Corner to Wham.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Guly is proper **** Welcome to the thread agenda man
Thedelldays Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 id take 0--0..would be a good result in many ways
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 we have parked the bus Hardly! We are getting numbers forward at times and getting men behind the ball when they attack. Certainly not parking the bus. #touch wood, So far we look quite well drilled.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Welcome to the thread agenda man I have been v.consistant with my views on Guly for a long time........ He has yet to prove me wrong
ThreeSixty Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 OLE OLE OLE OLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEE GULLLLLLLLLY. Good rendition from the fans there.
Thedelldays Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Hardly! We are getting numbers forward at times and getting men behind the ball when they attack. Certainly not parking the bus. #touch wood, So far we look quite we drilled. yes we have...look when they attack we have everyone behind the ball....we do break but off little up front
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Lallana great run down the left, three men onto the West Ham back line and he's tamely fouled before he can get the ball in. Shame
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 yes we have...look when they attack we have everyone behind the ball....we do break but off little up front Like the four who just went forward there? When we get the ball we are actively seeking to break them down and push men up. No way 'parking the bus.'
Thedelldays Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Like the four who just went forward there? When we get the ball we are actively seeking to break them down and push men up. No way 'parking the bus.' obviously, we have different views on parking the bus.... anyway, HT look solid att the back...passing it well...terrible in the final 3rd two very poor teams IMO
Glasgow_Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Good 1st half..... Need more in last 3rd 2nd half
S-Clarke Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Well I think the best way to sum that up is... - Defensively - aggressive and positive in their marking and ball winning - Midfield - tidy, excellent ball retention - Attack - Very little quality
Window Cleaner Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 0-0 HT, The Wham fans booing at half time. Twelfth man for any visiting team are West Ham's fans.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 I have been v.consistant with my views on Guly for a long time........ He has yet to prove me wrong Your view is well known on here but sadly it had been evident that you have the opinion before any actual action is seen and despite visual evidence to contradict it you cannot bring your self to admit being wrong even once..
bpsaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 0-0 and they boo team off? Christ, and our thought our fans were bad!
MOSaint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Wasteful when we've gone forward, but we look much better defensively at the moment. Hooiveld has Carroll in his pocket and Yoshida looks more comfortable at LB than he did at RB against Fulham.
Window Cleaner Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 0-0 and they boo team off? Christ, and our thought our fans were bad! Well as we're perceived as a pile of shîte they'd fully expect to be at least 5 up by now wouldn't they.
THEVMAN Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Well done lads a really solid 1st half lets push on now.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 0-0 and they boo team off? Christ, and our thought our fans were bad! Only in here;)
buctootim Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 two very poor teams IMO Ar you on something illegal DD? WHU are currently 8th in the toughest league in the world. Its a good tactical game. We're neutralising them currently and breaking well.
Katalinic Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Well I think the best way to sum that up is... - Defensively - aggressive and positive in their marking and ball winning - Midfield - tidy, excellent ball retention - Attack - Very little quality Spot on.
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 obviously, we have different views on parking the bus.... So it seems! haha. San Marino parked the bus last friday.... But yes, HT.
Thedelldays Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Ar you on something illegal DD? WHU are currently 8th in the toughest league in the world. Its a good tactical game. We're neutralising them currently and breaking well. but they have not had the start we had....etc etc etc
the wedge Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Well I think the best way to sum that up is... - Defensively - aggressive and positive in their marking and ball winning - Midfield - tidy, excellent ball retention - Attack - Very little quality Spot on, with the addition of Lallana needing to stay on his bloody feet.
stinhk Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Holy crap, talk about anti football, west ham deploy all their players in the opposition box, not to win the ball but to block the opposition defenders in the hope of leaving Andy Carroll free. Poor hammers fans having to watch this week in week out.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Your view is well known on here but sadly it had been evident that you have the opinion before any actual action is seen and despite visual evidence to contradict it you cannot bring your self to admit being wrong even once.. When did Guly last have a great game?
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 So is it still hysteria about SRL not playing? Adkins is an idiot? Cortese is picking the team? what have i missed?
Ohio Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 I really have no clue how this one will turn out. I guess it's down to subs.
Cascadia Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 Good morning miserable bastards! Watching the game full screen on this here computer, so alas, cannot join in the wrist-slitting during the game. Apologies if you are all happy as clams, I haven't read the thread yet.
Dibden Purlieu Saint Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 So is it still hysteria about SRL not playing? Adkins is an idiot? Cortese is picking the team? what have i missed? We look good apart from in the final third. So the first 2.
Colinjb Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 The way this game is going I wouldn't bet against Mayuka coming on mid way through the next half.
ALWAYS_SFC Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 When did Guly last have a great game? I have seen him play a decent game a fair few times and sometimes not but during his lesser performances he has been no worse than others but the other players get far less ****e.. My opinion of you is you have made your mind up to slate him whatever occurs and could not ever admit being wrong..
suewhistle Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 We've been a bit toothless and our shooting has been wayward but you can see that they know what they're doing as a team and there's been some good close range work and movement off the ball. All of those complaining about Adkins have been unfair in my opinion. That break where Puncheon wasted the pass had the WH defence completely overwhelmed. I don't think Punch deserves all the criticism he gets, but if we had a little bit more quality in that position we'd really benefit. Guly has been fine, and I reckon he's been picked for his mobility allied to his physique. Oh well, here we go...
Mr X Posted 20 October, 2012 Posted 20 October, 2012 West ham were there for the taking first half shame we only had j rod up front! He's worked hard though tbf
