doddisalegend Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 What gets me is that half of the UK are coming forward now saying they new Jimmy was a wrong'un yet it seems very few if any said anything for like 40 years while he was actually carrying out his crimes. Why didn't these people go to the police? During that interview with the nurse who said she watched him abuse a disabled girl.....I just kept thinking why didn't you go over and stop him and then phone the police? EastleighSoulBoy Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Esther Rantzen has spent all these years promoting ChildLine. She now feels that Saville's alleged actions have undone all her hard work. Well sorry Esther but you now admit you were aware of Saville's attacks on young women, you said nothing. Yet you tell children it's alright to talk and tell someone. What the feck were you doing then that prevented you from screaming, waving flags, ringing bells or anything else to stop these alleged attacks from continuing? You undid all your hard work. Hypocrite.

Quite, its a joke and makes me think a proportion of the claims is bullsh it from attention seekers. And I am getting sick of the "I couldn't say anything, no one would believe me, he was untouchable" excuse. This is Jimmy Savile we're talking about. Not Nelson Mandela. Jimmy freaking Savile. Everyone involved had a chance for justice if they chose to take it.

Something is very rotten in the State of Denmark. If the top Police & Government officials who tried to investigate/bring forward complaints are made to be "shut up" by being fired, by having evidence "discredited" Yes of course there is still room for doubt, but IF there was a "Ring" and it went very high up the food chain, not just in Jersey, then the ability to squash dissent and cover up becomes easy. dubai_phil Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 The former Jersey Chief Officer Graham Power says the fact that more than 100 victims on Jersey have now received out-of-court settlements and a significant number of civil cases are still pending illustrates the scale of the abuse. He says he understands why victims mistrust the local force to investigate the Savile allegations: “The scale of abuse that occurred in this small community was so great that it seems to be beyond doubt that persons in authority must have known something of what was taking place, and, from what we know so far, they appear to have done nothing to protect the children who were being abused in establishments operated by their own government. This is a matter which merits honest and independent examination.” Alan Collins, a solicitor with Pannone, a legal firm specialising in abuse cases that is representing 58 of the victims, says initially all the focus was on Haut de la Garenne, its workers and management. “Jimmy Savile was a sideshow. I honestly couldn’t say how many have named Savile. But there were several people who named him, it was plural, not singular. All the allegations need to be looked at now en masse for similar fact evidence, because now we are seeing a bigger jigsaw. Each individual complaint makes more sense now. Savile is dead but others who abused them are not.” He was named in cases dating back years. And yet the BBC pulled the Newsnight programme....... dingbattigger Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 If one force can investigate another then why doesn't a different force investigate the Jersey accusations? EastleighSoulBoy Posted 20 October, 2012 Share Posted 20 October, 2012 Yeah but this is just Jersey TBF. Jersey's just a masonic lodge surrounded by water so no surprise stuff gets covered up there. The mainland is even more of a convoluted, Masonic web. Saville was popular with the establishment so his predelictions would have been covered up here by the Establishment and, probably, the Government! That's how far the tentacles could reach, we don't want Lords and Earls being prosecuted now, do we, after all they are the bastions who set and protect the moral tone.
