To give Lowe his due, the way he handled the Jones situation was one of his finest moments. The reality is Jones could have been sacked for results and if he'd stayed in charge we'd have gone down. Jones was under unbelievable pressure at the time and it had started to show. Although he might not have liked it at the time I wonder if on reflection he realises it was the best solution for all. I don't particularly rate Jones as a manager but the way he carried himself during that time shows he is a decent, strong bloke who deserves a great deal of respect.

Well in Dave, give it some.

Well, apart from the racism bit; not sure how that was applicable.

I think he said, "you talk about the racism, what about everything else?"

I think he was trying to make the point that racism isn't the only problem with the game. He is right to be fair, why should there be outrage at racism in the media, whilst chants about Jones' child abuse case is apparently ignored.

Agree entirely.

It is awful how wrongly proportioned responses are to certain things. Barton receiving a longer ban than racist players for a scuffle, England snd Serbia BOTH being blamed immediately after what appeared to be an attack of violence and racism at Englands black players. And now Leeds release a statement, saying nothing about Jones main point which is the 12 years abuse he has suffered over nothing, and in a week or so there will be a poxy £10,000 fine for LUFC for failing to control fans. How long will the rational minded of us have to wait before we see an incident like that followed by Leeds not taking away fans to their next game?

What a disgrace - the idiot concerned should see a spell behind bars for the attack and Leeds should be told they can't take fans to the next 6 away games. And as for Warnock - he needs to be very careful about his stance - sure he condemned the offender but then seemed to suggest the keeper fell over!!! Complete knoob!

Was Warnock trying to insinuate Kirkland are a meal of it?

Thats how it came across to me i must admit. Typical Warnock, there was absolutely no reason to mention how Kirkland reacted.

The most relevant point came from Dave Jones when he asked what would have happened if Kirkland wasnt able to continue after using all his subs etc etc

He also said "all of the chanting; its a form of racism in itself", but we'll forgive him for mis-speaking after such a hostile environment for him and his players.

The Leeds fans were ignorant animals for singing those chants; and as you say the media are complicit by completely ignoring it.

You'd hope for some form of ban for Leeds after this; especially so when you add in ripping out seats and tearing down advertising hoardings.

Let's not forget Sheffield wednesday weren't entirely innocent in all this, waving a Turkish flag and singing about the two killed in Istanbul. I expect most clubs fans would have reacted angrily to that.

True. I thought the authorities had started clamping down on provocative bahaviour such as that; it would seem not.
