Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Find him, shame him, ban him from every ground at every level in the country. Alongside a custodial sentance.

sandwichsaint Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Does't look anything like tonight's idiot?
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Does't look anything like tonight's idiot? Grew hair, filled out a bit.... not impossible.
Ken Tone Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 I see bloody warnock covered himself in glory again. He just couldn't stop himself could he ... Kirkland 'went down like a ton of bricks ' he says
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 I see bloody warnock covered himself in glory again. He just couldn't stop himself could he ... Kirkland 'went down like a ton of bricks ' he says Seriously? He criticised Kirkland? F**king kn*b.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Warnock did also say he was embarrassed by it and they should put him in prison. Obviously you forgot to type that. And Kirkland did go down easily. Not condoning it, but he did. Most men I know would have stayed up and smacked the ***** back, or at very least made out they weren't hurt.
Ken Tone Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Warnock did also say he was embarrassed by it and they should put him in prison. Obviously you forgot to type that. No , I thoughtthat Warnock ruined his original strong reaction to this assault by saying that Kirkland had gone dpwn like a ton of rocks , implying that he'd made a meal of it. He didn't by the way IMO. He'll be lucky if he doesn't suffer bad whiplash.
Lazlo78 Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 (edited) Warnock did also say he was embarrassed by it and they should put him in prison. Obviously you forgot to type that. Not good enough from Warnock. He should have only commented on the fan's behaviour and left Kirkland out of it. It's entirely irrelevant how hard he got struck. Edit: ohhhh, in before your edit. sticksaint Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 I live in Leeds and there are a few nice ones .But your average Leeds fan is scum.A quick story about Leeds fans. I was coming back from a Saints game (we won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge 91 i think) .At the train station in Leeds , four Leeds fans start a few verbals with me. They then assault me. Like i said four onto one and they still had to hit me from behind ( and i`m not big). Cowardly scum.
Saint137 Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Better angle on here, really snaps his neck back and he wasn't prepared for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TGjw0ln-Iw

Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Bet he is taking every single post as a badge of honour.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 Bet he is taking every single post as a badge of honour. Not from his jail cell he won't be.
Ken Tone Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Better angle on here, really snaps his neck back and he wasn't prepared for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TGjw0ln-Iw But a real man like Turkish wouldn't even have gone down apparently.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 (edited) But a real man like Turkish wouldn't even have gone down apparently. Two things. He's a 6 foot 3 14 stone athlete. It was a push in the face/neck not a punch and only one hand landed cleanly. It wouldn't have hurt that much. I'm in no way condoning it and doesnt make it right but personally most people I know wouldn't want to have shown they were hurt, even If we were. Anyway it's irrelevant what I'd have done, I'm not a proffesional sportsman and the dinlow that did it will get sent down for it. Edited 19 October, 2012 by Turkish
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Not from his jail cell he won't be. Fingers crossed.
Dig Dig Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 But a real man like Turkish wouldn't even have gone down apparently. It's because of all those kettle bells he lifts with his neck
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 It's because of all those kettle bells he lifts with his neck Tsk, you don't lift a kettlebell, you clean, swing or snatch them.
Lazlo78 Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 This video shows the assault from another angle: http://www.myspace.com/video/samantha-hearts/aaaaaaaaah-foam-hand/20799631 Turkish was right about those types of fans!

He did give it a touch of the dramatics; perhaps from the shock of it, but not the impact, surely. Why's he holding the top of his head?
trousers Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Dale Johnson @dalejohnsonESPN First hand view of tonight's stunning incident. And in addition, Leeds fans also sang 'Jimmy Savile, he ****s who he wants'. Class.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Looks like an accident to me..... Give him the benefit of the doubt n move on imho
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 He did give it a touch of the dramatics; perhaps from the shock of it, but not the impact, surely. Why's he holding the top of his head? Exactly. I can honestly say I get hit harder at Krav Maga every week. And just for the record I'm in no way condoning it or saying the div that did it doesn't deserve to be punished.
trousers Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Why's he holding the top of his head? Because he wanted people on internet forums to think that he was making a meal of it. Obviously....
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 Exactly. I can honestly say I get hit harder at Krav Maga every week. And just for the record I'm in no way condoning it or saying the div that did it doesn't deserve to be punished. Watch the youtube video above mine again; its not even a punch. Its an effort at a two-handed push in the face. I imagine Kirkland was shocked that it actually happened more than he was hurt by the actual "strike". I bet his teammates will be giving him a bit of banter about that.

And only one hand connects, the other one brushes his cheek.
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 When it comes down to arguing the degree of contact, you know you've lost perspective.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 When it comes down to arguing the degree of contact, you know you've lost perspective. Perspective of what? That it was an atrocious, shocking act? That he should get sent down for it, and for some time? That Leeds could/should get punished for it. Or something else?
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 When it comes down to arguing the degree of contact, you know you've lost perspective. No Colin. We were talking about if Kirkland went down easily or not. IMO he did, It was a two handed push in the face, only one hand connected, he went down like he'd been shot. and I said that should not make a difference, I feel I've been very clear on that.
The Cat Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Dale Johnson @dalejohnsonESPN First hand view of tonight's stunning incident. And in addition, Leeds fans also sang 'Jimmy Savile, he ****s who he wants'. Class. Barnsley fans were singing "Jimmy Savile fu.cked your Mum" at them last weekend. They may have sung that back to them then and carried it on tonight.
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Perspective of what? That it was an atrocious, shocking act? That he should get sent down for it, and for some time? That Leeds could/should get punished for it. Or something else? More people arguing over Kirkland exaggerating......
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 There's something not quite right with some of Leeds' fans.
The Cat Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Fair enough to go down because he wouldn't have been expecting it, but you've got to get back up and try to lamp the bloke rather than laying on the floor like a gimp waiting to be anally abused.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Barnsley fans were singing "Jimmy Savile fu.cked your Mum" at them last weekend. They may have sung that back to them then and carried it on tonight. Can you not say things like that. It's not helping the witch hunt on here against Leeds fans. We've already had someone say most of them are scum apart from a few nice ones because he got assault by one 20 years ago.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 More people arguing over Kirkland exaggerating...... Not so much exaggerating Colin. More suggesting that he went down out of shock of the strike, as opposed to being knocked to the ground by the power of it. There is a difference between the two.
The Cat Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 There's something not quite right with some of Leeds' fans. It's ok, they are sign makers. They can knock up another one in no time.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Fair enough to go down because he wouldn't have been expecting it, but you've got to get back up and try to lamp the bloke rather than laying on the floor like a gimp waiting to be anally abused. Exactly. He needs to come along to Krav and learn a few stress techniques. Then he's know how to react after being attracted when not expecting it. That's the trouble with footballers these days, too pampered.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 It's ok, they are sign makers. They can knock up another one in no time. It wasn't the sign so much, it was the poor buggers (their own fans) who were sat underneath it. Chubs in the white looks like he's borne the full brunt of it.
St Chalet Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Fair enough to go down because he wouldn't have been expecting it, but you've got to get back up and try to lamp the bloke rather than laying on the floor like a gimp waiting to be anally abused. The irony is that if Kirkland had lamped him he would have probably got a lengthy ban.
Colinjb Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Not so much exaggerating Colin. More suggesting that he went down out of shock of the strike, as opposed to being knocked to the ground by the power of it. There is a difference between the two. In this case, that he exaggerated is immaterial. There are bigger issues.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 The irony is that if Kirkland had lamped him he would have probably got a lengthy ban. Should have gone the Esteban Alvarado route.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 The irony is that if Kirkland had lamped him he would have probably got a lengthy ban. But earnt the respect of every man in the country.
The Cat Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Can you not say things like that. It's not helping the witch hunt on here against Leeds fans. We've already had someone say most of them are scums part from a few nice ones because he got assault by one 20 years ago. Sorry. Fair play to Barnsley for taking their opportunity and running with it. We would have probably just sung "Jim'll Fix It" and gone embarassingly high pitched on the "for yooouu oooo ooo" bit.
The Kraken Posted 19 October, 2012 Author Posted 19 October, 2012 In this case, that he exaggerated is immaterial. There are bigger issues. That's very deep Colin. Amen.
Turkish Posted 19 October, 2012 Posted 19 October, 2012 Should have gone the Esteban Alvarado route. I was trying to remember who it was that did that. Fair play to him.
